In the master's exclusive room, I sat on a bed not far from the master.

In fact, there is only one bed in this room, but just now the master ordered the soldiers to bring in an extra bed which was a little bigger than the kind of bed when studying in school. When I was sitting on this bed I had a sense of familiarity.

Before I came here, I was still in college. That afternoon there was just no class, so I took a nap in my bed, and then I woke up and somehow came to the Demon Kingdom.

I really miss those days when I had a cell phone to play with before bed.

And because there are no cell phones to play with in the otherworld, I have so much free time to be in a daze every day that it feels like a year has passed even though I've only been in the otherworld for a month.

The master did not sleep. The table in the middle of the room was filled with a pile of books carried over by soldiers. These books, in fact, were more like reports and ancient memorials.

The master was looking at these books tirelessly. She opened the books one by one. Ane there was a blank book next to the table where the master occasionally recorded a little something.

From dinner to now, I guess it's late at night. A mountain of books has been almost moved flat, but the master did not stop all the time.

I think the master must have blocked my inner thoughts, after all, she needs a quiet environment to read those books.

So I had the audacity to peek at her at work. I like looking at the master’s colorful clothing, a few strands of dark red hair hanging down the side of her face, so that I really want to help her put her hair behind the ear, but I am afraid to disturb this peaceful picturesque beauty.

If I had studied with such vigor in my previous life, I would have had no problem getting into Tsinghua and Peking University.

It's hard to imagine that such a hard-working monarch would be a tyrant in the eyes of the people.

Not only is she a workaholic, but she also goes to the battlefield herself. Although the master will go to battlefield, she doesn’t forget to manage the affairs of the state. So how hard is it to manage this kingdom?

The master suddenly lifted her head and her eyes met mine unawares.

I was a bit embarrassed so I averted my eyes. I was really stupid. With the master's ability, even if she didn’t listen to my inner thoughts, she could easily perceive that I was looking at her secretly.

However, since she found out that I was looking at her a long time ago and didn't say anything to me, did that mean I can continue to look?

"Go to bed early. Tomorrow I will take you to see the scene of war."

"Yes...master."

I just wanted to turn back to look at her while I was interrupted, so I warily lay down in front of my master and turned my side with my back to her.

I always felt a little uncomfortable inside, feeling like my master was watching me. Although I kept reassuring myself how the master could put me in mind, and thought that she must be looking at her book, I felt unconsciously uneasy.

Finally I couldn't resist turning over to observe the master, but the master was really still concentrating on the books.

The master sensed my eyes and looked up at me.

"Don't think so much. Go to sleep quickly."

Probably sensing my anxiety, the master's voice became very soft when she spoke to me, and her expression relaxed a lot.

I also turned around to sleep at ease.

------

The next day the master woke me up.

Opening my eyes and looking at my master who was already groomed in front of me, I reflexively sat up from the bed and surprisingly I was woken up by my master.

"Dear master, good morning."

She nodded and then left my bedside. I relieved because the master didn't reprimand me.

I reached out and grabbed the skirt on the side of the bed and put it on, not realizing I was already so skilled.

Putting on my shoes, I got out of bed and walked to my master.

"There's something to eat on the table."

I looked over to the table where there was a plate of bread on it and a plate topped with a glass of water.

"Eat and we'll go out."

I sat on a stool next to the table and finished my breakfast at a fast pace. I stood up, waiting for my master's order.

"Let's go."

I followed behind my master. Looking at her back, I suddenly felt as if I was a pet she kept and I didn't have to do anything, all I needed was to listen to her obediently.

Lift the door tent, the sky was still as dim as just after night, only to have traces of dawn. The morning air was a little cold.

Yet even though it was just morning, many of the demon soldiers have already run around preparing for war.

The master led me through the lines of soldiers coming and going, and found Solz who was in command in the clearing in front of the camp.

The master watched Solz from the side and did not go up to disturb him. She nodded after looking for a moment and finding the well-ordered ranks being commanded.

"A new round of siege war will start soon. Follow me."
