44.About Those Days when I Became a Slave (I)

I woke up again.

The unpleasant iron air pressed against my chest. So I opened my eyes and found that it was darkness.

I felt very tired. I wanted to stretch the limbs, but my hands and feet were bound, and the cold steel circled the wrists and ankles.

I felt carefully, and found that I was sitting on an iron stool. The iron stool was as cold as ice at this moment, and even the air was cold.

I felt this feeling very familiar. Suddenly a chilling thought flashed through my mind.

This is a prison. I am locked up, surrounded by darkness.

My stomach which the master had struck was still faintly painful. Turning my head, I felt that my hair was sticky and all stuck together, a clump of hair resting on my back. At this moment, the blood splattered on me by those humans should have dried up.

Recalling the disappointed look in my master's eyes, I saw that expression for the first time.

Just like a man plays a game but chooses the wrong option, the other person's favorability to me fell to a negative number.

In that short minute, the favorability that the master had for me was instantly emptied, right?

But I was told to kill 10,000 people at once. I remembered the last time when I just killed one person.

Although I comfort me that I have killed them all, I don’t need to mind it.

But I still feel that it is cruel to kill so many people.

I recalled those days when the master would gradually look at me as a person, and I somehow miss this period.

Yet all of a sudden, I fell from heaven to hell.

I don't know how long it took.

The door of the prison slowly opened and only one person stood in the doorway.

The harsh light rushed into the eyes. I can not see the other party's face clearly.

Looking at the figure and the tone of the clothing , I knew the one was not the master but Heath Relia.

I recovered my vision. I watched Heath Relia walk into with boots. The candles on the prison wall were lit too. Heath Relia frowned, and she seemed to be a little unhappy.

I didn't have much energy to greet her. Whatever, I was a prisoner. I leaned helplessly against the iron chair waiting for her to say something.

"Ilotia."

"Hmm?"

"How do you feel?"

To my surprise, Heath Relia's voice did not mean to reproach me, but had a hint of care.

So I answered honestly, "It feels bad."

"Why did you reject her?"

Heath Relia's expression carried a hint of puzzlement and regret for me.

I lowered my head in bewilderment and looked at my blood-stained, torn dress.

"I don't know. I wanted to say no instinctively."

"I wanted to give you time to think it over, but I can't put it off any longer."

Heath Relia gently lifted my chin so that I was looking at her, her eyes shining with a sharp gaze.

"What did you want? Freedom? Dignity? Equality? Or power?"

I turned my head.

"I don't know."

"Then what do you live in this world for?"

What do I live in this world for?

"I don't know."

In fact, in my previous life, I do not know what to live for. I just think I should be a good person in the eyes of others. So I just cater to others to do good things constantly, hoping that others can remember me.

I came to this world, and now I hope to turn back to a human.

"I think that you do not know enough about the world."

Indeed, I don't know enough about the world. After all, I'm not from this world.

"Do you know how you were created as Ilotia?"

I shook my head.

"Ilotia, originally developed by our demons, is a small ball that can decompose and differentiate under certain circumstances and eventually develop into a complete individual."

Isn't it meant that Ilotia a cell with omnipotence?

"But this kind of individual is soulless, just like a dead person. So the researchers cast some magic to summon the free soul into Ilotia's body."

Wait a minute. You mean, when I was still taking a nap, and my soul was out of the body at that time, my soul was caught by demons. And then I was forced into Ilotia's body.

It's absurd, but it doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it.

"In the beginning, Ilotia had no fighting power and was even inferior to humans. The first generation of Ilotia that could be used in warfare was created only after countless experiments by the researchers of the demon race. Do you know where the abilities of Ilotia came from later?"

I shook my head.

Heath Relia smiled and continued.

"It was sacrificed with 10,000 humans and 10,000 human demons, which means that you were born on the premise that 20,000 people had to die. But using the lives of 20,000 people for one Ilotia, it's not a loss at all."

Suddenly I froze. I was born by stepping on the corpses of 20,000 people.

"By the way, let me show you 20,000 people who were sacrificed."

Heath Relia did not go through my consent then she pressed my brain. A faint warmth wrapped in tingling pain came to my brain. Then a moment of countless bloody images flooded into my eyes.

So many humans and demons were trapped in a giant pit, surrounded by dry dirt, seemingly in a small basin. Floating above the pit was a blue cocoon-like object, perhaps better described as an ice cube, in which unconscious Ilotia lay peacefully.

A blue glow emanated from those people, and continued to pour up the ice.

There was even a leak. Before long, blue light and blue mist haunted the entire basin.

Visibility became extremely low.

I saw the people in the pit turned into a set of dry bodies, all just skin and bones.

Suddenly the ice wrapped around Ilotia exploded. Countless blue light flashed in the air. All around condensed many blue crystals, even the huge pit below was filled with such crystals.

The entire basin was surrounded by blue mist.

Here Heath Relia took her hand away from my head.
