53. The so-called self and others
update icon Updated at 2025/4/3 13:10:13

Footsteps came from the cell door. I turned my head pleasantly and ran to my master's side, smiling at her.

Although I am happy that the master can take the time to see me, the business is still important.

After greeting my master, I didn’t smile anymore and then looked at the men. I counted and found that there were six men in total, all with their hands handcuffed and feet chained.

Hearing the sound of Minnis' frantic twisting behind me, the six men showed a surprised look that shifted to anger and finally changed to sorrow.

"Minnis."

I turned around, and my smile was no longer gentle.

This time Minnis finally showed a real look of heartfelt fear, though she kept struggling on the cross.

"Yiluodiya, what are you doing! If you have any complaints you can just do it to me!"

My master came over and touched my head, and my whole heart instantly melted.

It didn't take long for the hand to leave the top of my head and I came back to my senses.

Seeing Minnis's frozen expression, I must have had a face of enjoyment just then. I dryly coughed and sneered again.

Minnis, however, turned her head to look at my master as if she had caught a lifeline.

"Lord Demon King, please let them go, okay? You can kill me as you want."

However, the master ignored Minnis and faced me.

"As you wish."

As soon as the words left her mouth I saw the desperate look of Minnis, and heard the ten humans behind me begin to howl.

They seemed to be begging me to let Minnis go, kill them and stop torturing Minnis.

A little emotionally, I thought that all of them think about others rather than themselves.

I turned my head and glared at them angrily.

"Shut up!"

Instantly there was silence. They were stunned all of a sudden.

I dare say I've never been so angry in my life, and it's not that I really wanted to get angry with them. It's just that they were too noisy.

The master next to me showed a pleased smile, seemingly satisfied with my performance. I tried to hold back my smile.

"Who are you guys to ask me? I can kill all of you as my wish."

I then picked a girl of about one meter three tall. She was wearing a small clean white dress, with blonde hair that was only just past her neck tied in two strands of drooping ponytails. Bending down in front of her, I took her hand when she was about to cry.

"Yiluodiya..."

Those grown-ups look at me pleadingly.

"Shut up!"

Staring at them viciously, I pulled the little girl to walk towards Minnis under their desperate gaze.

Stroking her head, I felt that the soft blonde hair was so fun.

"Sister..."

The little girl instantly broke down and cried out.

I don't know if she was in fear of me or in heartache for Minnis.

"Lena, be good. Don't cry."

Minnis also cried and she turned to look at me.

"Yiluodiya, I know it's too late to apologize." She looked at the little girl intolerantly and then very reluctantly refocused her eyes on me, "I will submit to you and do whatever you say. Just please let them go."

"Isn't it so easy to let you go? You even cursed my master before."

Two lines of tears ran down Minnis's eyes, and her eyelashes swept through her golden eyes."Lord Demon King, it was my fault. I'm sorry."

I turned my head to look at my master, who did not answer, but just stood aside indifferently.

"Minnis, you said I did so ..."

Suddenly I pulled the little girl's hair with force.

"Ouch! Wow...sister, help me."

"Yiluodiya...please, please don't." Minnis shook her head frantically, and her messy, untidy hair was flying.

"A child's skull is supposed to be more brittle."

The little girl's cries have not stopped. I smiled and looked at Minnis, who had desperate and helpless expression. Minnis is still swinging her head and begging me.

"Very annoying."

When the words just fell, the little girl stopped crying but she choked from time to time.

"Didn't you say I was a psychopathic murderer, inhumane demon?"

"Yiluodiya I was wrong...I shouldn't have said that about you. You said that you were once a human too. Please let my sister go..."

"But you don't seem to be willing at all."

"I am willing...I am willing to submit to you."

"Then to prove it. You call me ...call me..." I turned my head to observe the expression of my master, who was still calm. I was worried that my master was not happy so I changed my words, "Call Lord Demon King as the master ..."

No no, the master can only be called by me.

In that moment I finally understood that I have not cared about my identity of being slave but why I insist on shouting master. Because this name is unique, and only I can shout the master in this way.

"Anyway..."

For a moment I felt a little anxious because I could not think of a suitable greeting. "Anyway, you...you are the slave of me and my master. How's that? Are you willing?"

Just finished the last word I quickly shouted.

"Wait!"

Because it felt too much like a marriage proposal, just imagining Minnis gazing at me with a tear-stained face and saying, "I do.” No, I'm not going to look like this.

"Anyway... Anyway, you're not a human being anymore. Well, you are our slave, no human rights. I and the master told you to do what you have to do, and you can not have any resistance. But you can't call us masters, like the servants call us lords, got it?"

"Yes..."

Minnis bit her lower lip and lowered her head.

The voice was very low. I shook my head, squatted down and gently wiped the little girl's tears, and gently watched her.

In fact, I am not willing to kill such a lovely little girl. Although I am not lolicon, I still have the compassion. Holding the little girl's shoulders, at best ...

"Ah!!!" "Yes! Yiluodiya! I am your slave!"

The tearing sound of the little girl's arm being cut off by me, her cries and Minnis' yell rang out simultaneously.

At best, she was ruined.

I looked up and met the eyes of my master, who still kept calm, but simply turned to the soldiers guarding the humans and said.

"Call the doctor over."

"Yes!"

I saw that even the demon soldiers showed an unforgiving look and ran out of the cell in a hurry.

"Sister...oooh...it hurts...sister..."

The master came over and cast a spell on the little girl's broken arm, and miraculously the break stopped bleeding.

I stood up and turned around to see Minnis' eyes brimming with tears. It looks like that Minnis was very upset but had to bow down to me. She wants to rebuke me but afraid of what I would do to the little girl.

The soldier quickly called the doctor, and I saw them still gasping for breath.

The doctor rushed over to treat the little girl.

Minnis' relatives were afraid to make a sound, all holding back their tears, probably because they were afraid I would get angry and chop them up too. I glanced at the bloody broken arm on the ground.

"Can the arm still be reattached?"

"Sorry, Lord Yiluodiya. Although it was just broken, the human system is not the same as our demon's. So it cannot be put back."

With a slight sigh, she turned around.

It's impossible to tell her to completely give up her dignity mentally all at once, slowly wearing it down, just like I did back then.

Suddenly I remembered that back then I was... also like this, and it seems something wisps clear.

"Minnis, remember that I didn't kill them. That was my grace and mercy to you. Because you were supposed to be the losers, and I have the right to deprive you of everything."

"Yes."

This time Minnis no longer dared to be lax.

"Wait and eat a good meal. If you die, think of these people. They will end up worse than you ."

"Yes, Lord Yiluodiya...."

I frowned.

Forget it, let's take it slowly.

I thought she would always hold on to her so-called dignity, but I didn't expect her to give in after I hurt one of her relatives.

I walked out of the cell. Those people were also taken away by the soldiers of the demon race.

"Master."

Standing side by side with my master, I looked up and smiled. The warm winter sun poured down, and the snow on the ground had long since melted.

"What's wrong?"

"Can you keep me company today, master?" Out of the mouth, I hurriedly waved my hand when I realized what I said, "If you are not available, forget it."

See the master hesitate for a moment, in the end she nodded.

"Hey, the master is the best."

Walking slowly, I strolled around my master's side in the house.

Just now, while Minnis was holding back her tears of shame and chose to submit to me, I slightly figured out why I had a good feeling for my master.

Those things that should have belonged to me were taken away by the master in the beginning.

Then the master gave them back to me little by little, giving me a feeling that the master was getting better and better to me, and I would be grateful for those gifts.

Yes, those things belonged to me at first.

It was like being held hostage by a murderer. When the murderer let me go, I treated her like a lifesaver.

Enise and Lumia are right. The master is indeed the great evil.

The master is not really very good, but just a little better than before, so I have the illusion that the master is the best person in the world.

I did not study psychology, but I still know how to analyze psychology.

The master's smile is not much more intoxicating at first. It is just because she rarely smiles.

I figured it out.

I figured it out what the master asked me to think it well.

Even if the master is a great evil, sacrificing an entire country to invade humans alone; even if the world says she is a tyrant; even if I was once a human; even if there is still guilt in my heart, guilt for all that I willingly gave up, I still want to continue to stay with my master. I am no longer afraid, and am no longer confused.

The feeling in my heart is still blazing for my master.

Seeing the master's shaking palm, I carefully reached over.

I held the warm hand of the master, but the master did not immediately shake me off. She stopped and looked back at me suspiciously.

I quickly pulled my hand back, and put my hands behind my back. I lowered my head with my cheeks blushed.

"...Accidentally, I touched your hand by accident."

"Hmm."

I frozen in place for a moment.

I looked up again, and the master also happened to turn around. But I still saw the master in the sunlight blooming a bright smile ...

I don't know how long my mind wandered because of this smile before I calmed down.

Just I walked to a gazebo. I watched the master sit down, and I stood in front of her. I lowered my head and stared at her red pupils.

I think it's time to have something to say clearly.
