Just like sneaking game, the other party will be alert when he detects you , and he will keep alert until he confirm that it is safe.
Of course, in addition to this there are two special states, green name and blue name.
The green name is only shown on your teammates who are already in a team with you, and the blue name is for people who are in a specific group with you, like me after I joined the 'Red Leaf Enigma', I see that Fran's name is in blue.
