"… cheating?"

"Yep!"

As a guild leader, Emile patted her chest proudly.

"I'll help you cheat. I won't get caught."

"That's not the issue! Why are you so comfortable suggesting cheating like this? Aren't you a guild leader? Can you just bend the rules like this?"

"Well, technically no. But I don't think you're a genius who can learn so much magic in just one day."

"Even though that's true... ah, so it's still my fault in the end!? Why am I not a genius as a time traveler!?"

"Okay..." I reluctantly shrugged. "How can we cheat then?"

Emile put her chin on her hand, deep in thought.

"First, I'll forge a proof of a basic Level 3 spell for you. As an honorary guild leader, I have the authority to judge spell levels. All I need to do is stamp my seal on a badge. Emile holds badges for Apprentice to High Level 3 spells. You only need a low-level Level 3 spell for the intermediate assessment to gain the right to meet the city lord."

"But it feels weird to forge a document..."

"To be honest, you're not even qualified for Level 1..."

"Even though that's true, can you say it more politely!?"

"Step two is to go to the inner city of Elysis for the assessment tomorrow. Since the number of people is not many, you can relax about transportation."

The so-called inner city is the area surrounded by the inner wall in the center of Elysis, which was temporarily built as a fortress during the war when the city wall was at risk. Later, it was transformed into a city within a city. Nowadays, it is a gathering place for the pure-blooded Elysis and where the Magic Guild and City Lord's Mansion are located. The people who built this inner city wall probably never thought it would become a boundary that separates two types of people hundreds of years later...

Step three is for Emile to provide remote support to my assessment through mental magic.

"There's nothing worth mentioning about this."

"Hey, aren't you being too simple-minded? Even for me, it would be challenging to evade the monitoring equipment."

"Really?"

"How convenient do you think I am?" Emile leaned towards me and lifted my chin.

"On the other hand, I do charge for helping with cheating."

"..."

Her thumb gently traced my lips.

Ah, here we go again...

I clenched my fist and closed my eyes.

After flicking my lips, she lightly pinched my cheek.

"Okay, that's it."

"Huh?"

"After that, it's a mental link," Emile continued with her plan, apparently unaware of my surprise, "but relying solely on a contract is too slow and complicated. It's highly likely that you won't keep up with the pace of the questions."

"Yeah... that's true."

After all, every time I delved into Emile's knowledge, I would feel dizzy for a while...

"Step four is to increase your total mana capacity, at least to a level where you can release an intermediate magic without running out of magic power."

"Running out of magic power...so we need to increase the total amount?"

"Like what that old man did."

"I see..."

Feeling a little down, I suddenly realized something.

"But wouldn't that be dangerous!?"

"The Finland old man forcibly straightened his twisted magical power corridor, pulling himself from low level to intermediate level, and even jumped two levels to release advanced magic."

"That's really reckless..."

"So he died. But don't worry, what I'll do for you is to temporarily increase your total magic power, but it will be much safer. Just make skin contact to establish a magic connection."

As I listened to this somewhat familiar setting, I nervously swallowed.

"...So you mean?"

Emile tilted his head, his silver long hair softly falling on her shoulders, and her eyes emitting a strange light.

"Well, let's replenish our magic power!"
