Late at night, the building of Wanlan Mountain Group was still brightly lit.

There was no inhumane requirement for overtime here. Everyone who stayed at their workstations outside of working hours did so voluntarily and willingly.

The reason they were willing to devote themselves to Wanlan Mountain Group was because of the company's promotion and employee incentive systems.

Hard work paid off, and those who worked more received more.

Bai Yaxin was also one of the overtime workers, although he wasn't purely working for Wanlan Mountain Group.

As the second-in-command in the group, second only to Uminari Manranyama, Bai Yaxin's target for surpassing was evident to everyone. It was because of this that he found himself in a dilemma between advancing and retreating.

Uminari Manranyama was an extremely dominant man. Unless he voluntarily stepped down, no one could replace him.

Although nothing was absolute in this world, Uminari Manranyama was able to exert such pressure on others.

Knowing that a direct attack would yield no results, Bai Yaxin didn't foolishly push ahead. Instead, he took alternative approaches.

Whether his actions were clever or wise, it was still too early to judge.

Standing by the floor-to-ceiling window in his office, Bai Yaxin was currently reading a document.

Then, someone knocked on his door.

"Come in."

Bai Yaxin didn't turn around and continued to gaze out the window. However, he saw the reflection of the person who entered through the glass.

The man who entered was tall and thin, in his thirties, with a height of about 1.81 meters and a weight of about 60 kilograms. His slender physique resembled a long spear. The Middle Eastern features embedded in his dark complexion gave him a unique style. The muscles all over his body were tight even without exertion, and he was dressed in a black-gray uniform... Even an outsider could tell that he was a highly trained professional.

The first impression he gave was his pitch-black, piercing eyes that sparkled with sharpness, sending chills down one's spine.

This person, codenamed "Wolf Spider" and whose real name was Aziz, served under Bai Yaxin as a professional assassin.

"What's the matter?"

Bai Yaxin spoke to the Wolf Spider with his back still turned.

"Miss Bai Xuyu has been captured by Ziong MingDe and is currently being held at Yu's house."

The Wolf Spider's voice was light and low, devoid of any emotions.

"Oh..."

The news that his daughter had been kidnapped didn't surprise Bai Yaxin. He only furrowed his brows slightly, as if a leader learning that his subordinate had made a small mistake.

"Did Miss Bai Xuyu provoke Ziong MingDe on her own accord?"

Bai Yaxin asked.

"Whether it was provocation or not, I'm not sure. I was quite far away at the time, but it was indeed Miss Bai Xuyu who voluntarily went to find Ziong MingDe."

"Mm... You don't have to worry about this matter anymore. Besides, you came at the right time. I have a task for you."

Bai Yaxin took out two photos from the document in his hand and turned around, throwing them like darts towards the Wolf Spider. The Wolf Spider extended his hand and used his index and middle fingers to pinch one photo, then immediately used his ring finger and pinky to pinch the other one.

The two people in the photos were a mother and daughter, Koga Shie and Koga Mizuo, respectively.

"Take care of these two people within this week, just like before, making it look like an accident."

"Understood. What about the surveillance on Ziong MingDe?"

"You don't have to worry about his surveillance for now. I will assign someone else to handle it. You can go and carry out the task."

"Alright."

The Wolf Spider put the two photos into his uniform pocket, turned decisively, and left Bai Yaxin's office without making a sound.
