"What are you doing?" As soon as I entered the classroom, the guys hiding on either side of the door grabbed my arms and forced me to my knees under their pressure.

"Rebel, do you know your sins?" Huangmao stood on a chair and looked down at me with a sneer.

"What sins did I commit?" I looked confused.

"What?! You don't even know what sins you've committed? How infuriating!" Huangmao's face suddenly became angry, and the veins in his clenched fist bulged.

"How could I know what sins I've committed? Besides, I don't think I committed any crimes in the first place." I really didn't understand why they kept picking on me.

"Well...a criminal won't easily confess his crimes," Huangmao suddenly changed his face from aggressive to contemplative.

"So...let's perform the burning at the stake!" Huangmao said flatly, and I was suddenly pulled up. What was going on?

"You didn't even say what crime I committed, and now you want to use the burning at the stake? Clearly it has an element of forcing a confession!" I protested loudly.

"Do you have any objections, rebel?" Huangmao stared at me disdainfully.

"Of course, I object! Why are you limiting my personal freedom?" I shouted back.

"You rude and ignorant rebel, since you're going to say goodbye to this world soon, I might as well tell you that the root of all evil comes from you having a well-endowed and virtuous wife! Damn it, you deserve to die!" Huangmao was so angry that his eyes were about to pop out.

"You are blatantly jealous!"

"The judge of love has never been jealous. Take him away and execute him by burning at the stake," Huangmao said, pressing his temples. The two guys controlling me also wanted to take me out of the classroom.

"By the way, don't let him slip away like last time," Huangmao reminded them, and the two guys behind me nodded.

Although I tried to resist, it was like my hands were trapped in iron hoops and my resistance only increased my pain. Just as I was about to be dragged out, Zhiye, who was standing nearby, took a few steps forward and faced Huangmao.

"Zhiye, although I feel a little sorry, in order to appease everyone's anger, we must sacrifice this rebel. Please understand," he said, even though he was the one who started all of this.

"Plea se spare my husband..." Zhiye begged.

"Husband?" Huangmao suddenly widened his eyes.

"Yes, please spare my husband," Zhiye pleaded again.

"I cannot spare the rebel. We must satisfy public outrage," Huangmao insisted.

"Really? Then..." Zhiye slowly stood up, and Huangmao looked at him in confusion.

"Since you won't spare my husband, I must risk my life to save him." Zhiye took out a folding knife from his skirt pocket.

Huangmao instinctively stepped back when he saw the blade, but Zhiye slowly approached him. The students present were all frightened by Zhiye's behavior.

"I will not allow anyone to bully Jerry," Zhiye said, placing the blade at Huangmao's neck.

"That...it's dangerous..." Huangmao was trembling and sweating profusely as he felt the blade on his neck.

"Please spare my husband..."

"But if I spare him, it will cause public outrage," Huangmao exhaled and tried to persuade Zhiye.

"Please spare my husband..."

"This is just for show, a formality. It's illegal to kill someone." Huangmao lost his arrogant posture and tightened his body.

"Please...spare my husband," Zhiye repeated mechanically, and the folding knife moved up and down on Huangmao's neck."Uh... Let him go," Huang Mao said in a panic.

The two people controlling my arms let go, and I felt much more comfortable without their restraint.

"So... can you put down the knife, Zhiye?" Huang Mao's eyes never left the blade.

"For those who attempt to harm Jerry, not only is it unforgivable but they must be killed," Zhiye said seriously.

Huang Mao's legs turned weak with fear.

"Zhiye... please put down the knife, it's really dangerous," I quickly intervened.

"Jerry... are you okay?" Zhiye asked with a worried look in her eyes.

"I'm fine, why wouldn't I be?" I assured her.

"Thank goodness Jerry is okay," Zhiye shed tears of relief.

"Next, we must deal with those who bully Jerry," she continued, looking sternly at Huang Mao who couldn't move, only plead for mercy.

In the next second, Zhiye lifted her hand holding the folding knife, pointing the tip downwards.

"Uh!!"

"Zhiye..."

"Ah! Ah! Ah!"

Many voices mixed together, creating a source of fright.

"Ha ha ha... class has started, scum! What's the point of those scum standing there?" The female teacher walked in with a different tone, wearing holey jeans that looked a bit rebellious.

As she walked to the podium and saw the people still standing, she took a closer look and saw the reflective blade, causing her to lose her composure.

"Ah, dangerous weapons! The school has decided that they must not be brought into the school. What do we do... we must tell the principal... the principal!"

But she never went to tell the principal as she went back and forth. I realized that the situation was not good and had to pull Zhiye aside, asking her to put away the folding knife with a grin on my face.

"Teacher... we were just rehearsing for the play," I told her.

"Oh... I see," the teacher calmed down upon hearing my explanation.

"Okay, then let's start the lesson... scums, let's start the lesson!"

I admired the teacher's daring spirit, but her way of speaking really made me want to beat her up. Zhiye and I, along with the other three, sat back in our seats with our textbooks. Reflecting on what had just happened, it was truly terrifying and made my blood run cold.
