"Alright, we're here," I snapped back to reality and found myself on the top floor of the school building, just one door away from the rooftop that was closer to the sky.

"If you're scared, we can go back," Su Yuqian let go of my hand and said in a serious tone without mocking me.

"I'm not scared," I retorted, even though I knew I wasn't very convincing.

"But..." Su Yuqian turned her face to the side, seemingly worried about something.

"Are you scared?" I turned the question back to her.

"Me? Ha... as if, you NPC guy," Su Yuqian snapped at me with her hands on her hips.

"You're so loud. What if Zhinight hears us?" They say walls have ears, and Su Yuqian was speaking so loudly that I was genuinely concerned if Zhinight would hear us.

"If he hears us, it's your fault... You Stupid Jerry!" Su Yuqian got angry and was about to stomp her foot, with her ponytail swinging.

I quickly covered her mouth, and she made a muffled sound of protest. I put a finger to her lips, hoping she wouldn't make too much noise. She seemed to understand and stopped resisting.

When I let go, her face turned red as if she had a fever, and her eyes seemed a bit dazed.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked confusedly.

"You idiot... Why did you suddenly cover my mouth like that..."

"I had no choice..." I said helplessly. Su Yuqian turned her red face away.

"Is it because of my actions just now? Did it make you uncomfortable?"

"No, not at all..."

"Really?" I stared at her face intently.

"Alright, alright... Just go in quickly."

Just as I was about to find out more, Su Yuqian pushed me, almost causing me to hit the iron door.

"Do you want to kill me?" I complained.

"That's what you get for being careless and staring at me with that look," Su Yuqian said.

"I wasn't!..."

But before I could continue, Su Yuqian opened the iron door and pushed me out, using the noise I made when landing to quickly close the door.

"Ouch, what the heck..." I complained while getting up.

"Jerry?"

Rubbing my sore arm, I instinctively looked in the direction of the voice and saw Zhinight. She was wearing a dark blue jacket, a skirt, black stockings, gray boots, and a white scarf around her neck.

Perhaps she noticed me, she seemed slightly surprised but still had a healing smile on her face.

This embarrassing entrance was truly embarrassing. I felt an inexplicable awkwardness and could only awkwardly chuckle.

"Jerry, you really came. It means you still care about me."

Zhinight took a few steps closer to me, and my expression suddenly changed. "You're wrong. I didn't come because I care about you."

The smile disappeared from Zhinight's face, and she stopped walking.

"If you don't care about me, why did you come then?"

Zhinight forced herself to look cheerful and asked.

"Actually, I didn't plan on coming. I came here just to clarify something with you."

"You already have a girlfriend. Is that what you wanted to clarify?"

Zhinight suddenly showed a painful expression.

"Huh?" I was surprised because I didn't expect this.

"No, I don't want to accept that. Jerry can only love me..." Zhinight shouted impetuously.

"I don't love you, Zhinight. You have to understand that," I said, albeit a bit heartlessly.

"Why? Why?!" Zhinight hugged her head and cried on the ground.

"I've already made it clear. We're impossible..."

Is that enough? I asked myself in my heart, while also turning around. It would be best if Zhinight could understand, but if she couldn't, I would have to cut ties with her.

"Jerry..." Zhinight hugged me from behind. Her tears dripped onto my back, one by one.

"I love you so much, I can't live without you, so... please stay by my side, don't leave me," Zhiye pleaded with a desperate tone. But the more she did so, the more I couldn't tolerate it. I firmly pried her hands off of mine, but she held onto me tightly.

"Let go!" I exclaimed.

"I don't want to... I don't want to..." Zhiye stubbornly shouted.

"I'm telling you to let go!" As I struggled to break free, Zhiye fell to the ground. I suppressed my soft heart and coldly stared at her.

"What is there to love in someone like me, who is nothing but a loser?" I angrily asked her.

"There is... because Jerry is the only one who doesn't see me as a problem, who treats me gently, always finding ways to make me happy, willing to do anything for me..." Zhiye said slowly.

"But that's not me... I'm just an average guy, indecisive and not good at talking to girls, with only a few friends," I protested.

"Yeah, Jerry is not the same as before, he has forgotten about all those things, but I..." Zhiye mumbled to herself. Then she slowly stood up. "But I still love you so deeply, and I'm willing to sacrifice everything for you."

She approached slowly, resting her head on my chest.

"Don't be foolish, Zhiye. Wake up and see clearly. I'm not someone worth liking," I told her.

"Is that so?" This time, Zhiye voluntarily let go of my hand, and I felt like I saw a turning point in the situation.

"Wake up, huh..."

Suddenly, I felt something cutting my arm, and the scent of blood assaulted my senses. I instinctively touched my arm and discovered a shallow cut, from which blood began to flow.
