I am still too immature. I should have remained calm, but Tang Xin's inherent aura of danger always made me feel as if I were at a disadvantage from the very beginning.

"Tomorrow is Saturday, huh," came Tang Xin's response to my constant questioning of my own intelligence. Who doesn't know that tomorrow is Saturday? And what's with that "huh"? Even if it's added, it doesn't make it any cuter?!

"Well, Chairman usually works hard, so make sure to rest well. I'm going to sleep now. See you on Monday," I swiftly typed out this message and clicked send, interrupting the conversation and stopping her from further plotting.

"Thanks for your concern, Vice-Chairman. To show my appreciation, I'll come to your house tomorrow morning to keep you company. Rest early ❤️," came the reply, with a heart emoji that was quite alarming.

Keep me company? No way!

I took a deep breath and looked at my phone. My hand holding the phone couldn't help but tremble. Based on my two years of knowing her, this woman will definitely bring trouble with her tomorrow!

But I just said I was going to sleep in the message I just sent. If I now send her a message telling her not to come, wouldn't I be embarrassing myself? My hand holding the phone started trembling involuntarily. Could it be that she had already planned this as well?!

"Bai Lu."

"Hmm?"

"I want to go to school tomorrow."

"Are you bored with life, brother?"

My little sister, while softly speaking this sentence, continued to trim my nails without looking up.

"I'm sorry!"

......

I wiped my blurry eyes and looked at the alarm clock. It was eight o'clock in the morning now.

Normally, high school students wouldn't wake up so early on a weekend, but I had been tossing and turning in bed last night and couldn't fall asleep. Wu Yaoyao's declaration of war at the fishing port park kept repeating in my mind. And today in the evening, I had an appointment with Sister Ning Yi, the second meeting where I would give her an answer. These two things were already driving me crazy, and then Tang Xin's message from last night completely ruined me.

In the message, Tang Xin said she would come to find me this morning. I couldn't just sit at home and wait for her to ambush me. The only way was to go out and hide for a while.

My little sister went out early in the morning, leaving a note on the fridge. "Breakfast is in the fridge. Heat it up in the microwave. I still need to do the final rehearsal. Remember to come in the afternoon."

There was no time to eat breakfast. If I delayed a little, Tang Xin could easily catch up with me. After finishing my morning routine, I changed into sportswear and put on my shoes, heading straight to the city library.

The library wasn't too far from my house, and I could spend the morning reading there. Tang Xin would never expect to find me there. Then I would eat something casually for lunch and go directly to watch Bai Lu's performance. Later in the day, I would go to the city square to find Ning Yi.

A perfect and fulfilling day without Tang Xin!

The city library opened at 8:30 in the morning. When I arrived at the library after taking two subway stops, it had just opened, but the first floor was already almost full.

I casually grabbed two magazines and looked for a seat.

The second floor usually had fewer people, so I should go there. But at this time, there were not many people on the second floor. If Tang Xin happened to come and saw me on the second floor, it would ruin everything. Moreover, the second floor was for literature and reference materials, so I would have to come down after finishing these two books. Taking everything into consideration, it was better to stay on the first floor.

I glanced roughly, and there wasn't a single empty seat on the spacious first floor. Are you kidding me? Do you all love studying this much?

Just as I was feeling disappointed and preparing to go to the second floor, a person not far away stood up and walked away with a book in his arms, looking dejected. Had he been hit with something?

Whatever, I'll just sit down first.

I walked over, placed the books on the table, and pulled out a chair to sit down. On the left was a man wearing glasses who seemed a bit nervous. On the right was a girl in a white dress with a ladylike hat. She sat upright, holding a book with delicate hands that were as fair as lotus roots. Although I couldn't see her face, she was definitely a beauty.Red Sleeve Adding Fragrance is not bad. I withdrew my gaze and opened the magazine, starting to read it seriously.

I had two magazines with me, one was a gaming magazine and the other was a street literature magazine about discovering UFOs. Regarding the UFO magazine, I knew that most of its content was nonsense. Whenever I saw things like wormholes in the Bermuda Triangle, alien spaceships landing on pyramids, or underground beings in the Amazon River, what amazed me was not the content itself, but the imagination of the authors. Clearly, their imaginations could qualify them for the top ten mysteries of the world. What I appreciated was their spirit of blowing things out of proportion while looking at blurry photos. It could be said that reading UFO magazines was one of the few ways I could relieve stress.

As I immersed myself in the book for a while, a bottle of mineral water suddenly appeared in my view from the right side and was placed in front of me.

Looking at the water, I was surprised. Did this pretty girl give it to me? Coincidentally, I was a bit thirsty, so I took a sip and turned my head to softly thank her, "Thank you."

"You're welcome."

Upon hearing my gratitude, a bell-like and pleasant voice rang out.

Wait a minute...

Upon hearing this voice, my whole body froze. Cold sweat slid down my back, and my body involuntarily began to tremble. I grabbed the book on the table and abruptly stood up, preparing to leave.

"Good morning, Vice-Chairman?"

A soft hand, white and tender, gently grabbed the hem of my clothes, interrupting my thoughts of running away. Maybe because we were in the library, the voice was very low, as soft as cotton. But the power that this sentence brought me did not diminish in the slightest due to the volume.

"Morning, good morning.... Chairman..."

With a bitter smile twitching on my face, I hesitantly turned my trembling head and met Tang Xin's sweet smile.
