In Chapter 4 of Volume 2, Rip mentioned that he was reminded of a certain animation while watching the attack of the zombie samurai. However, at that moment, another zombie samurai launched an attack at him, wielding a rusted sword like a charging boar. Rip couldn't help but feel like he had seen this scene before... Ah, he remembered! In a certain animation, a very sexy female character made exactly the same attack, but was defeated by the male protagonist's swordsmanship. In fact, this reference came from an animation adapted from a super "chuunibyou" Japanese light novel. [Note: "chuunibyou" refers to adolescent delusions of grandeur, typically related to fantasy or supernatural powers].

The prototype for Dals came from Lance. Dals dressed in the same green cloth and crude metal armor as early Lance did. At first, Dals was also a rogue and unfettered two-handed warrior, who was just as cruel and powerful as Lance. In the end, however, I still chose the married couple route because it allowed me to introduce two characters at once, and Rip really needed a loyal friend.
