In the darkness, a woman is desperately running. To increase her speed and reduce energy consumption, she has already dropped the handbag in her hand and even kicked off her high heels. The stockings wrapped around her feet have been torn and are worn out from the rough concrete ground. Her body is covered in cuts from sharp objects, but even though the soles of her feet are injured, blood is flowing all over her body, and tears are uncontrollably streaming down her face, the woman still keeps running. Because behind her, an unknown fear is chasing her. The woman did not get a clear look at the thing that attacked her, but she knows it is not human. It has a triangular, demonic body shape, with tentacles extended all over it, each with a sharp point. Just being embraced by it left countless bruises on her body. Today was supposed to be a good day for her. The stalker that had been troubling her disappeared, so she did not have to worry about perverts attacking her while walking home, nor about silent calls or clothes being stolen outside. She even got to go out and drink with her male coworker whom she has had a crush on for a while. Although she regretted not inviting him to her place before they parted ways, she didn't really feel regretful. This delicate and complicated girl's heart was shattered by the monster that appeared around the corner. She was just habitually walking towards the corner of the street that led to her home when the unnameable monster suddenly jumped out from that corner. Not only was it scary-looking, the woman also felt physical disgust towards it. The monster just jumped out and stood there, then suddenly extended several tentacles towards her which embraced her with great force. The sharp ends of the tentacles caused her to feel a painful sting all over her body. She immediately struggled out of the embrace of the monster's tentacles, landed on her feet, and turned around to run away. She reached the corner she had just turned as fast as possible. Suddenly, she heard a sound of something being crushed behind her. When she turned her head around, she saw the monster smash the concrete wall of the corner and rush straight towards her. She immediately realized this monster is not just grotesque, but also possesses incomprehensible hardness and strength. "Monster... man?!" The woman recalled the urban legend that humans were transformed into monsters according to their habits, which had circulated in this city since she was studying at university. How could it appear in front of her? Wasn't she just a newbie in the workplace? Right, she just needed to run to the police! The woman recalled the police office where she had often sought help, where there was a patient young police officer she liked. If it was him... She thought that and quickly sprinted to the street corner where there was the police booth. When she was getting closer to the booth, she felt strange. When she passed by before, she could see the young police officer from quite a distance, always greeting her from afar. But this time, even though she was so close, she could not see his figure. When she got close enough, the woman felt deep despair because she saw blood flowing out of the booth. The young police officer she was always talking to, who always listened patiently to her reports of being harassed, and whom she had a certain fondness for, was now lying on the ground with two big holes in his back, bleeding profusely. The wound - the woman glanced at the wound on her own body caused by the monster's tentacles. Was it the monster?! The woman broke out in a cold sweat all over her body and worried that she would die just like the young police officer. She turned her head to look at the monster and found that it seemed to think she had given up running, and was slowly approaching her. Though it made a panting sound, she didn't think it was panting. Rather, she thought it was laughing. With sudden courage, she crouched down, took something out of the young police officer's body, and aimed it at the slowly approaching monster – it was the young police officer's gun. "Don't come any closer! I'll shoot!"She held the gun grip with both hands, completely unaccustomed to it, aimed at the monster. But the monster was unaffected and continued to creep closer to her with a sly grin on its face. There was no choice! She was forced to do this! It was completely self-defense! Yes, with these injuries, even if she went to trial, she could win! The woman encouraged herself in her heart and then pulled the trigger. The trigger made a clicking sound, but the gun did not spray bullets as the woman had expected. What's going on?! Why weren't the bullets firing?! Was it the safety bolt?! How do I open the safety bolt again?! Perhaps on a whim, the woman suddenly remembered the actions of detectives she had seen in movies and TV shows, twisted a switch on the gun cake, and then pulled the sleeve. The gun in her hand made a clicking sound, and the woman was sure that the gun was loaded. She pulled the trigger again, and this time the bullet did shoot out of the barrel, with the recoil jumping in her hand. Her unprepared hands nearly let go of the gun and she felt her first sense of having fired a gun. Ah, did she really do it? She looked at the monster hit by the bullet with mixed emotions. Its body trembled violently, announcing the woman's hit. But the monster didn't fall down as the woman expected and didn't spray any fluids. With the help of the light from the police kiosk, the woman saw that the hit had only left a shallow mark on the monster's body. The monster once again let out a sly laugh and slowly approached the woman. Damn it, why won't it die?! The woman shouted angrily in her heart, continuously pulling the trigger. She had no afterthoughts about having fired the gun and only wanted to escape from the fate of death. But the successive bullets only hit a few sparks on the monster's body and mostly hit the ground beside its feet and the wall behind it. Soon the woman's index finger on the trigger was left feeling empty. She was out of ammunition, her instincts told her. But she didn't know what to do, should she throw away the gun and continue to run, or kneel down and look for bullets on the body of the young police officer? The monster in front of her didn't seem to be in a rush to kill her, but rather enjoyed the happiness of pushing her into a corner as if hunting her... If, as urban legends say, there should be a person like a Kamen Rider to save her, right? "Oh dear, can't you understand a woman's full rejection? Young man, before you turned into a monster, you must have been a stalker, right?" This voice came from nowhere. The woman finally withdrew her gaze from the monster and saw a man with hair combed back sitting on the side wall between her and the monster. The man sat cross-legged on the wall, his eyes were unusually fierce, but he laughed. The woman immediately judged that the person in front of her was not a normal person. If asked why, the man wore a coat and jeans, and leather boots on his feet. But there was a chest protector with only a single shoulder pad around his chest, and although there was no apparent trick to it, the lines on it were inexplicably solemn. The man's hands were covered with complicated armguards and gloves, and there was a row of waist bags around his waist with two swords hanging from them. "Oh, don't worry, I usually wear more protection, but today is a light day." The man smiled at the woman and said. "By the way, this thing in front of us can be taken down, right?" "It can... " The woman nodded, not knowing how to respond to him. Meanwhile, as if his fun had been disturbed, the monster roared at the man sitting on the wall like an insect and stretched its two tentacles behind it, stabbing towards the man on the wall at a speed that was invisible to the naked eye. "Ah!" The woman let out an inaudible scream and dared not look, suddenly closing her eyes. He would die, just like the young cop pierced through... [Ding!] [Clang!] The tip of the tentacle made a sound that was completely unexpected for the woman. She opened her eyes, which she had shut in sympathy, but saw an incredible scene. At some point, the elongated tentacle of the monster was cut off and fell to the ground, while the man sitting on the wall had already drawn his sword from his waist and gripped it in his hand.

"Wow, that was fast."

Without any disgust, the man exclaimed and jumped down from the wall.

The monster saw this as an opportunity to attack and roared, rushing towards the man with its extended tentacle, like a raging bull.

"Getting impatient, are we?"

The man spoke, and suddenly a purplish-blue flame spurted out from the end of his sword hilt, lifting his body upwards.

He then flipped in mid-air and swung his sword towards the monster's back as he was upside down.

It seemed impossible to hurt the monster, as even bullets could not penetrate it-

But before he could finish this thought in his mind, the man's sword had already sliced through the monster's back, splashing a row of intense sparks along its wound.

As the flip was completed, the man landed on the ground steadily.

The monster first felt pain, then, as if unable to believe that it had been hurt by a primitive melee weapon, touched its back in surprise.

Meanwhile, the man just looked at his sword with great interest.

"Oh, I didn't expect it to be a mechanical monster-"

The monster noticed that the man did not even look at it and roared, shooting out more tendrils from its back.

"Hey, hey, why more tentacles? I'm tired of them already!"

But the man suddenly pointed his sword at the monster and made a sarcastic comment.

"Anyway, let me test my strength here."

Saying this, he launched a proactive attack.
