Cascia's body was very soft and Katarina gently pressed down, sinking in deeply.

Poke, poke, poke.

Miss Katarina seemed to find it amusing and continued tapping several times, satisfying her urge.

"Isaac." Katarina, still smiling, approached me and said, "Someone gave me some fresh fish today. How about coming to my house for dinner?"

"Dinner, huh?"

I did want to eat fish, but I had to consult my daughter first.

"Cascia, we're going to..."

Before I could finish my sentence, Cascia tilted her head, her face beaming with a bright smile.

"Dad, you should go. Once you're there, don't come back."

...

"Hahaha!" I burst into laughter. "Miss Katarina, I must apologize. Actually, we already have fish at home and I have prepared everything. Thank you for your kind offer, hahaha!"

"Oh, I see. But compared to that..." Katarina pursed her lips and leaned next to my ear. "Isaac, how have you been considering the matter we talked about last time?"

Uh...

"Well, um, I don't think we're a good match."

"Isaac, dear." Katarina used her index finger to draw circles on my chest. "We are similar in age and compatible. You should know that Cascia needs a mother to take care of her life. It may be inconvenient for a grown man like you."

"Well, um, I..."

Before I could finish, Katarina blew warm breath against my cheek.

"Well, Isaac, if you decide, you can come find me anytime." She said teasingly.

After Katarina put down Nero, she gave me and Cascia a glance before happily leaving.

The atmosphere suddenly turned cold, even though it was spring. The breeze carried an inexplicable chill. Cascia lowered her head, her long silver hair covering her profile, making it difficult to see her expression.

My daughter, Cascia, remained silent. Suddenly, she squatted down and picked up Nero, whom Katarina had just put down.

And then... snap!

Instantly, she grabbed Nero by the neck.

"You stupid cat, weren't you enjoying it just now?"

Her pupils widened as if she wanted to devour the foolish cat whole.

"Do you know how filthy that woman is?" She continued, “Huh?”

At first, Nero attempted to resist, but sensing the terror of death, it dared not even raise its fur. Its limbs stiffened.

"Come on, Mommy will wash you thoroughly today!"

Splash.

Cascia submerged Nero into the basin of water used for laundry, repeatedly dunking it as if washing a sheep. Only when the stupid cat started sticking out its tongue did she let it go.

Meanwhile, I stood there in a daze, watching my daughter transform into a different persona.

"Dad." My daughter's mouth twitched, and she smiled strangely.

"You seem a little dirty too."

...

Sometimes Cascia's temperament would drastically change when she was triggered. From an innocent and carefree little girl, she would become a completely different person.

But today, it wasn't too bad. I was only drenched in the water she used to wash my underwear.

Yes, as long as it's my daughter, I willingly accept it!

Even if I have to drink it, it's not a problem at all!

As night fell, the village returned to tranquility.

The weather was nice today, with a gentle breeze brushing against my face, and the starry sky shimmered. The air was filled with the fragrance of nearby flowers. So, I moved the kitchen to the yard.

I'm in charge of splitting the firewood, while Cascia washes the vegetables.

The main dish for tonight's dinner is vegetable lamb soup.

After I light the fire, I place the pot on the rack and cook the lamb first to get rid of impurities and gamey taste. Then I take it out and add ingredients like green vegetables.

Ah, it feels so good to divide the tasks with my daughter. It's just like being... father and daughter.

It's a full moon tonight, the blue moonlight shining on the earth. On days like this, my body can't help but feel a slight excitement, and my emotions are elevated.

Cascia, my daughter, is tearing off pieces of her bread and feeding it to Nero.

Ah, everything is so peaceful, it's really wonderful. This is the life I want!

At this moment, I can't help but think this way.

Shiloh is a place where I can live a peaceful life with my daughter, what could be better?

And now, Cascia, with her legs curled up, is showing off her ample chest. Well, she's really developed.

I'm so proud of you, my daughter. We've spent fourteen years together, and you've grown up so well!

In this way, I haven't let Queen Servilia down, have I?

Yes, and as for the so-called restoration of the country, Princess Lilis has achieved it. So, it seems like it has nothing to do with us, right?

Hmm, Queen Servilia will surely understand me.

When it's almost done cooking, I sprinkle some salt and spices in it to enhance the taste.

Cascia fans herself toward me.

"Daddy, I'm hungry."

I pat her head.

"We can start now."

Over the years, I've been in charge of everything in the house, including cooking. Naturally, my cooking skills are excellent.

And both of us, father and daughter, have good appetites. With such a big pot of soup and bread, it's probably easy to finish it all.

But, I don't know why, Cascia seems a bit strange today. She occasionally stares at me with a pouting face, like she's dissatisfied with something.

"What's wrong, Cascia? Why are you looking at Daddy like that?"

"Daddy looks really young."

Cascia suddenly says this, making me shudder.

"W-Well, Daddy takes good care of himself."

The Blood Wharton Clan, a naturally warrior race among humans, has a much longer lifespan than a hundred years. Especially during their youth, they have decades of long years. Of course, as a Kirwen, Cascia has an even longer lifespan like an elf in non-human races.

But I can't let Cascia know about all this. Otherwise, it would be a big problem.

So, we're just ordinary father and daughter!

But Cascia, she suddenly lowers her head and chuckles coldly.

"So that's why that swine is interested in Daddy."
