Analysis of Human Influence on Monsters
Author: Chen Laowu
Date of Recording: Day 305
Note: The analysis is mainly based on my wife (a Medusa species), so there may be some subjective factors involved. Please remind myself of this when reviewing in the future.
There are obvious contradictions in the oral accounts of the residents of Night Fall Town, indicating that Leya or Simmon may have hidden some details, but it doesn't matter. I have understood roughly what happened to my wife during the nearly hundred days I was away.
Based on this, the following conclusions are drawn:
【1】 Many monsters can adapt to human habits
Leya and Wolfrang's various behaviors do not need to be repeated. As for my wife, she can clearly adapt to daily meals, sleeping on beds, sitting on chairs, applying makeup in front of the mirror, drinking and smoking, laying carpets, reasonable or unreasonable shopping behaviors, and even develop dietary preferences and comfort needs similar to those of humans. However, this process mainly depends on the monster itself, and humans can influence them.
【2】 Monsters find it difficult to understand complex human culture
When humans convey personal emotions, values, and so on to monsters, in most cases, there will be some deviations in understanding. This is because most monsters have less complex thinking compared to humans. For example, humans can adapt and have different opinions on the same thing in different situations. But monsters cannot. They have their own simplistic ways of understanding. For example, my wife does not understand the commonly used human term "love". Her solution is to "become human to understand it".
Although I see hope for mutual understanding between humans and monsters through my wife, there is still a long way to go for true realization.
【3】 Monsters express emotions differently from humans
Monsters can experience happiness, anger, sadness, and have hatred and love. They can even have rich emotions like humans. However, the way monsters express themselves is lacking. If they love you, they will be with you every day. If they hate you, they will try to harm you. They won't try to please you in various ways just because they love you, nor will they come up with strange methods to hurt you just because they hate you. Especially when it comes to love, my wife can also experience a period of love fatigue, feeling uncomfortable to be with me, and feeling sad when she leaves me. But she just chooses not to talk to me about it. I don't know how to communicate with her. (Language barrier may be another reason at that time)
【4】 Monsters have rigid minds
In many complex situations, monsters have limited ability to adapt and can be stubborn. This can also affect their own abilities. For example, in order to be more like humans, my wife believed that humans would not shoot arrows like Medusas. And after giving up archery, she subjectively forgot about this skill. The same goes for Leya. She admitted that she no longer knows how to use charm magic, and this is her decision after falling in love with Cleveray. If monsters were to act in a movie, once they are absorbed in it, it would be difficult for them to snap out of it. From a human perspective, it is hard to comprehend.
However, from current observations, it is possible to help monsters come out of their rigid mindset through human influence.
【5】 Wolfrang
This werewolf can be said to be an exception among monsters. His intelligence and emotional capabilities exceed those of ordinary monsters, and he can handle problems with flexibility. He also has unique insights into personal and interpersonal relationships. This is not something that happened in just a day or two. It is definitely the result of long-term communication and interaction between werewolves and humans. The development level of the werewolf community can attest to this. It is also undeniable that Wolfrang, as an individual werewolf, is inherently talented, capable of leading hundreds of werewolves.
【6】 Leya
If Wolfrang represents the pinnacle of male monsters, then Leya is the outstanding figure among female monsters. Similarly, as monsters, the lifestyle and way of thinking of succubi and werewolves are inherently different, so their changes after being influenced by human civilization are also different. Wolfrang leans more towards rationality, being sociable, learning, and utilizing his abilities. Leya does not like to make many friends, and prefers to live alone, studying on her own. She still retains some of the succubus traits - pursuing elegance, enjoyment, and self-superiority.
As for a sidenote about Medusa:
Medusa's carnivorous habits can be changed, provided that the food appeals to her taste.
Medusa's eyes are crucial. Losing her eyes means losing 80% of her combat ability. After losing her eyes, Medusa relies on her snake hair to perceive her surroundings, but the effect is very poor.
The snake hair can sense the heat of objects, such as flames, but only within a limited distance.
If Medusa's tail is severely injured, it will reduce her mobility.
Medusa can hide the snakes in her hair.
Medusa can learn many ways to please men through study.
Some of Leya's viewpoints and opinions:
Succubi have high magical power, but they can only use a few types of magic.
The standard magic of succubi is charm, which everyone knows and does not require an incantation.
The clothing of succubi is related to magic. (Specific explanation is not understood)
Succubi are transformed from human women and do not inherit anything from their original human selves. (Including figure, memories, etc.)
Although succubi eat very little, they still need to eat and drink, otherwise they will starve. (???)
If succubi don't have men, they will take care of themselves, but they still have an instinctual need for men, and living without men for a long time will be very painful. (Not understood, does Leya usually take care of herself?)
Having intercourse with men does not replenish succubi's magical power. (Then why do you capture men? Just for fun?)
Succubi absolutely should not use charm magic on werewolves, because it will be effective, so it should never be used. Once a werewolf gives in to their instincts, a regular succubus will not have any chance of winning in a one-on-one fight. There has been a precedent! (Big Carrot and Little Mushrooms?)
My fight with Wolfrang is 70-30, it's difficult to win.
My fight with your wife is 30-70, I have the advantage of magic.
Succubi have once traded a man with a vampire, but the details are unknown.
Succubi have had no communication with Saprovore.
You don't look anything like Klever.
Some of Wolfrang's viewpoints and opinions:
Werewolves are extremely loyal.
Werewolves are skilled fighters, especially in forest environments.
Werewolves almost never use magic.
How good-looking a werewolf is depends on their fur. (Obviously, you all look the same)
Werewolves communicate their love through howling and dancing. (Imagine that, it's scary)
Werewolf relationships are peculiar; whoever is better at fighting determines who listens to whom. (Don't bring the fight to the household)
Werewolves can ride horses. (Although they rarely do, they really can ride horses!!)
Werewolves have slightly larger appetites than humans, prefer meat, but also eat bread and vegetables. (I really can't tell)
Werewolves rarely go mad.
After going mad, werewolves will eat people and other magical creatures. (Oh shit, please don't scare me)
My fight with Leya is 50-50, I don't want to fight her.
My fight with your wife is 40-60, we werewolves are very afraid of petrification magic.
I have communicated with many magical creatures, but I am relatively cold towards succubi. They are all very afraid of werewolves, only Leya is not afraid of me.
Werewolves give birth to at least two children in each litter, but they will decide whether or not to reproduce based on the availability of food. (Really clever)
I quite like you. (Hehehe, don't come to me with any brotherly love)
