"It's you... you are Elena Brand. You don't need to dwell on who you used to be. The past is gone and there's nothing worth reminiscing about, right? Now I must go. I am quite certain that I must find my own original power. I can't see the path ahead, but I will keep moving forward, believing that we will meet again at some point in time. Elena, you are intelligent. If you can witness more, you will surely be extraordinary."

As Elena emerged from her chaotic mind, the sun had slowly risen. The sunlight was so blinding that it made her squint her small eyes. If it were anyone else, they would have gone crazy after experiencing a series of events, from being kidnapped to bloody fights, and then the unclear past lives. Good-natured little boys would be forced to become bloodthirsty demons. All of this shocked the girl who witnessed it all. She had only come out to play with her uncle, why did she encounter all this? Were these events destined or simply unfortunate?

What puzzled Elena was, if she wasn't a dragon lady, why did Qin Yang tell her the story of the dragon lady? She had never heard this story before, yet it felt so familiar, as if she had personally experienced it. But what was even stranger was, how did Qin Yang know so much? Could it be that he was the vanished holy dragon?

"Elena..." It was her uncle, Haisa.

But Elena's mind was consumed by thoughts of Qin Yang and herself, she didn't pay any attention to him.

Haisa picked her up, and in that instant, he felt a mysterious power within Elena's body, but it seemed to lack hostility. However, he couldn't afford to think too much at that moment and immediately took his niece away.

Since then, Elena thought about seeing silver-haired Qin Yang again every day and eventually ran away from home...

The sun was at its peak, and the piercing sunlight made one feel uncomfortable.

"Ugh..." My head hurt. As I looked around at the lush green forest, I suddenly felt relaxed. Just when I was about to enjoy the fresh air in the forest.

Images flashed through my mind, fragments after fragments. There was my mother being bullied, everything burning in black flames, and the agony of my mother being pierced in the heart, as well as my father's angry gaze. These images attacked my heart one after another. Although I didn't know why I had such power, I did indeed pierce through my mother's heart with my own hands, and my father's anger was vivid in my memory. My father had said that anyone who harmed my mother would definitely die. Will I die? Will my father spare me?

Thinking about my father's gaze, my heart trembled uncontrollably. I have to run... escape from here. That's my only hope.

But where can I run to?

I really don't know... where can I go?

As long as I can't see my father, that's all I want.

Perhaps it's not difficult to find a way out of this forest. Just keep moving forward until I hear the sound of water. It must be a river. If I keep walking along the river, maybe I can find a way out!

Besides, I won't die of thirst if I'm by the river.

The water in this river is so clear, clearer than any water I have seen in the city. I reached my hand into the water, it was icy cold, extremely comfortable.

"Ah..." Suddenly, a cry came from downstream.

"Sister..."

"Sister... wuuu..." There was a girl in the river desperately grabbing onto a tree branch, while another girl on the riverbank was in a panic.

It happened to be a steep slope downstream where the water flowed faster. Neither of them seemed to know how to swim.

As a boy, it is my duty to save girls. That's what my father has always taught me.

Without thinking, I took off my outer coat and jumped into the river. The river flow was strong, but it wasn't exactly a torrent. However, that tree seemed to be on the verge of breaking. I swam with all my might, and the distance between me and the girl should be about a hundred meters.

I don't know if I can catch up with my speed and stamina, but I can't worry about that now.

"Hehoo... hehoo..." Using all my strength, I finally reached the girl. I grabbed her, while the other hand held onto the tree trunk. By now, the girl had already passed out from drowning. How lucky I must be to catch up to her when she fainted. But now the biggest problem was that the tree trunk was two-thirds broken. With my weight, it would break any second.

Sure enough, with my weight added, the fragile tree trunk split in half, and the two of us were swept away by the rushing water. Suddenly, I was in the water, twisting my body to hold the girl tightly in my arms, while my back hit a large stone in front. The impact was painful! Thankfully, the stone wasn't sharp, otherwise, I would've been pierced through.I leaned on the rock, taking a deep breath to regain my strength. Once I felt a bit better, I brought the girl to the shore. I laid her down and collapsed on the ground, gasping for breath. I couldn't believe that hitting that rock was what saved us. I felt relieved and happy that I was able to rescue her. I felt like a good person.

But then I couldn't help but think about how cold-blooded and ruthless I was last night, killing even family members. What kind of person am I? Am I good or bad? Or just a crazy person who can't control myself...

"Sister... Ugh..." The girl on the shore ran to the drowned girl's side, crying uncontrollably.

Seeing her crying, I said, "Hey, hey... Stop crying, okay? First, try waking her up."

"Huh? How... how do I do that?" The girl suddenly understood.

"Are you stupid? Mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, chest compressions. Or do you know how to use magic to heal? Didn't you learn that?"

"No... I didn't."

Oh my god, how did these two girls, who look about the same age as me and don't know how to do anything, end up in this jungle? It's really unbelievable.

"Well, I know a bit, but... umm, I don't think it's a good idea."

"You know it, so save my sister! If anything happens to her, I won't let you off." The girl's tone was unpleasant. She must be some kind of rich girl.

"Fine..." Since I already saved her, I might as well finish the job.

I laid the girl flat on the ground, firmly pressing my fingers against her chest. I exhaled air into her mouth, feeling embarrassed to be so intimate with a girl for the first time. My hands and feet felt numb, and my heartbeat was unnatural. Don't think about it, I'm just saving a life. I'm just saving a life. What am I thinking?

"Cough, cough..." The girl spit out the water, slowly opening her eyes. What surprised me was that her eyes were purple. I silently stared at her eyes, they were beautiful, captivating to the point where I couldn't take my eyes off them.

Why were her eyes so beautiful? I faintly saw illusions, was it magic? It's impossible for a little girl in this state to use magic, unless she was doing it unconsciously.

Fire, dark crimson flames, everything in front of me was burning with this kind of fire.

No, this fire, stay away from me, don't appear anymore, don't...

My hands were covered in blood.

"Yang..." My mother, covered in blood. I'm sorry.

"Ahh..." My head hurts so much, help, someone save me! I don't want to see this, I don't want to.

"Hey, what's wrong, kid? Hey."

"Sister..." The drowned girl shouted.

"Oh..." The girl behind me picked up a stick and hit me hard, knocking me unconscious.

Ugh... Everything went black, and I fell against the girl's chest.

"Sigh... Your eyes hurt someone again!"

"It's not my fault!"
