Chapter 13

1

"The Dark Dragon has been gone for so long, who knows who is a descendant of the Dark Dragon."

"Tesha, why are you looking for a descendant of the Dark Dragon? We don't need to awaken it."

"I'm not trying to wake it up, why did you release it?"

"Just wanted to show it to you. These days, who has the chance to see a vampire?"

"Then put it back, it's disgusting."

"Well... I don't know how." Just now I only knew the spell to remove the disguise from the seal, but not the one to restore it.

"Then why did you release it again?" Tesha's silver braids stood up, she was panicking and gripping my clothes tightly.

"I was just curious to see what this last vampire looks like. But I didn't expect it to be such an ugly corpse. However, the hair is long and looks as if it's been washed with shampoo every day."

"I don't want to look anymore. Let's go for a walk outside first, or I might vomit." Tesha covered her mouth and ran out pale-faced.

Looking at this figure, it really kills my appetite. No one would want to go out in the middle of the night to pee with this thing around.

At this moment, the moon was still shining on the mummy, no matter how it moved, the focus was always on this mummy. It was so intriguing, I couldn't resist the curiosity. I floated up and stopped in front of the mummy.

I was thinking, should I dissect it to see how it managed to survive for thousands of years without dying and still have long hair? How can it sustain life without drinking blood for thousands of years?

I looked left and right, wondering where should I start the dissection.

"Start with the abdomen, that's usually where it begins!"

"Why don't you dissect it, since you're so good at it."

"No, I can handle cutting up chickens and fish, but dissecting humans... I would have nightmares."

"Don't be so cowardly! Just cut it open and take everything out. We can study it together."

"Please... please... please, don't do it!" Suddenly, a trembling voice interrupted our conversation. It was not easy to intrude into someone's mind like that, but why was the voice trembling? If you have this ability, you shouldn't be afraid of anything, right? Is it... because of the mummy in front of me?

"Well, who are you?"

"Please... please... don't dissect me! Please!" The voice continued to come, very weak, as if it could be blown away by the wind.

It should be this vampire that we were discussing about dissecting. It was afraid that I would really dissect it, so it had no other choice.

It was able to use Magic, which was truly unbelievable in my eyes.

I reached out and involuntarily touched the mummy. Suddenly, I felt sorry for it. Anything that has life and is alive has the right to freedom. Being nailed to a cross was a form of torture for it, but vampires were always a threat to other lives.

"Saving one person or saving a few?" It has always been a difficult choice.

"Zzz~" Maybe I was lost in thought, I didn't notice the thorns wrapped around the mummy's thigh. I was pricked by a thorn and my finger was immediately cut. Although I stopped the bleeding right away, there was still a trace of blood on the surface of the mummy.

The blood stain didn't change at all, everything seemed calm, so I didn't pay much attention to it.

Back on the ground, I touched the wound and set up a fire for warmth. After autumn, the weather cooled down quickly after nightfall. It would be nice to have magic to keep warm, but it was tiring.

When I was considering various plans in front of the fire, I didn't notice that on the back of the mummy's thigh, a visible mark of plum red was forming at a rapid speed.

Starting from the mark, the skin on the thigh began to regain vitality, the wrinkled skin seemed to gradually regain its color, and the sunken eyes suddenly became alive.

The moonlight was incredibly bright, its radiance was magnificent yet not heavy, filling the entire cross.

Suddenly, that chilling feeling, which I disliked so much, became extremely strong, much stronger than before.

Why is this happening? What went wrong? When I turned around to look, the mummy was no longer as hideous. Its body, covered in thorns, was completely different from before.

The situation seemed off and I ignited the flaming black flames on my palm, leaping to strike its heart, wanting to burn it to ashes with the power of the Demonic Fire.

But it was futile. The vampire's thorn-covered hand instantly grabbed my wrist, causing the thorns to prick my wrist and draw even more blood.

This blood was absorbed completely, which was even more problematic. I commanded the Demonic Fire to surround my wrist, exerting a powerful force to force the vampire to release its grip, but the flames burned the thorns, although it still burned the vampire.

At that moment, I witnessed the second unbelievable thing of the night. The thorny vines loosened their grip on the body and revealed a pure white figure in the moonlight.

With an elegant face and hair as white as snowflakes, her whole body exuded a moonlit aura, creating a mesmerizing and ethereal sight. And her eyes, like those of a bat, were filled with a terrifying crimson hue.

It turned out to be a girl, or rather, a millennium-old girl. With just a few drops of blood, she transformed from a dried out corpse into a young maiden, albeit not quite resembling a doll.

In the blink of an eye, the female vampire revealed a pair of sharp, dagger-like fangs. Like a famished beast, she leaped from the crucifix, her limbs arched like a pouncing cat. "Whooosh!" Her vampire wings, each about three meters long, unfurled behind her.

Damn it, so that's why I was targeted. It's because of my bloodline. The Qin family has the blood of a demonic dragon. And it seems like it's quite pure. This freshly awakened vampire, whether she was still half-asleep or half-starved, had made it clear with her eyes that she wanted to bite me. Yes, she definitely wanted to bite me.

"Um, calm down..."

Before I could finish my sentence, the vampire fluttered her wings mid-air and charged straight at the spot where I stood.

The vampire's long nails clamped tightly between my fingers, gripping with an intense murderous intent. It was heavy, and I had to deal with her before Elena and the others returned.

I twisted my palm 180 degrees and forcefully slammed her onto the ground.

With my other hand, I drew a luminous Magic circle with light attribute, hoping that the opposing force could be subdued by the property advantage.

However, as soon as the vampire hit the ground, she immediately retreated, evading my attempt to seal her.

She had the ability to think, not just blindly charge. She was difficult to deal with, and it was clear that our powers were not evenly matched. The just-awakened vampire was not at her full strength yet, giving me a chance.

To deal with a vampire, I could only use light attribute Magic. Heavenly Demon Fire, Blood Thunder, they all required a stronger magical power than the opponent's. Clearly, I didn't possess that.

But the most troublesome thing was that the moonlight had been shining on her the whole time. Moonlight was difficult to utilize as it belonged to the light element. The battlefield was clearly disadvantageous.

I finally understood that recklessness was a curse.

If it's a curse brought on by me, then I'll be the one to end it.

I clenched my fist, keeping a close eye on her every move. Her objective was my blood, the blood that could rapidly restore her strength and satisfy her thirst. The one who would fall carelessly would be me.

The vampire didn't care about any of that. After thousands of years, her body was indestructible, but her clothes had long been torn to shreds. When one is famished, they don't think about warmth.

Without hesitation, the young girl drew a slender sword from her waist.

Her posture bore an astonishing resemblance to the person from my transmitted memory. She must be the same person - Perla Mi, the last queen of the vampires.

Her sword quickly arrived before me. I tilted my body, planted my left hand on the ground, and used my right foot to kick away her grip on the sword.

The sword tip spun and shattered the multicolored glass dome on the roof with a "crash," scattering shards of light like snowflakes.

Exerting all my strength, I leaped into the air, avoiding the pieces of glass. The vampire followed closely behind me, and the moonlight passed through my body, casting its glow onto her as well.

"Ah~~~" The vampire let out a savage roar, calling back her sword and charging straight towards me.

"Shining~~" Countless beams of light scattered from my right hand as they pierced through the shattered glass, continuously refracting. The vampire's speed was fast, but no matter how fast she was, she couldn't surpass the speed of light unless she became a super deity.

Dodging a few times, the vampire finally couldn't avoid the light. The refracted light pierced her body, and although light element had no inherent effect on vampires, my light Magic possessed a special damaging attribute.

"Ah~~~~" The pain was unbearable, only such excruciating pain could make her cry out in such a wretched manner.

Although it didn't appear gentlemanly to not offer a hand to a fallen lady, the most important thing right now was to capture this vampire queen.

I drew the sealing Magic circle on my hand again, gathering all my magical power and quickly pressed it against the vampire queen's chest. If I were slower, I feared she would escape.

"Yaaa~~~~" Once again, she cried out, alerting Tesha, who had just returned from outside to clear her head.

Upon hearing the noise, Tesha immediately ran over, only to see a naked girl being pressed down by me.

"Qin Yang, you beast."

"The beast! She's a vampire. Keep her outside and don't let anyone in, including Elena."

"Oh...oh~~" Tesha turned around immediately.

I could feel that my power wasn't enough. I could control her for now, but once I let go, she would escape.

But I couldn't do that. If I continued to release my soul power, my body wouldn't be able to handle it.

"Please...please spare me!" Suddenly, the vampire queen's expression became gentle and pitiful, her tone filled with despair.

This sentence sounded just like the voice interjecting during my conversation with Black just now.

"So it was you earlier."

"I'm begging you, please spare me!" Her voice carried a hint of coquetry, making it even more unsettling.

"Well..."

"Please, please!"

"Well..."

Suddenly, my magic power involuntarily weakened. The magic barrier loosened momentarily. Oh no, mind control, it's a common trick for vampires.

When I realized it and tried to strengthen my mental defense, the vampire queen grabbed her sword and stabbed it into my abdomen.

"Dreadful fairy~" I overexerted all of my light magic power, causing her internal injuries and making her cough up blood as she fled.

Unfortunately, the sword was still stuck in my waist. But now, I wouldn't be able to run away. When Tesha comes in, the injured vampire would know that she wouldn't be able to win and it wouldn't be wise to stay any longer.

"Tesha~~~Tai~~~Sha~~~" I weakly called out.

"What's wrong with you?"

"Ha...my magic power is depleted. I have no strength. Take...take out this thing from me, will you?"

"Oh...do I...do I do it?"

"Of course. Besides you, who else is here? Hurry up, do you want to see me bleed more?"

Tesha slowly pulled out the sword and then took out a book of incantations, reciting a bitter spell to numb my pain and stop the bleeding.

"Black, it's your turn next. I need to rest."

"Thank you, I don't have to endure the pain of pulling out the sword."

"Yang~~~Xin suffered an injury!"

Xiao Yao came back panting and said.

What? Even though we're not siblings, why are we getting injured together?
