Chapter 21
1
While my body was resting and sleeping, the black and white me stood face to face in a space without any prying eyes. There were infinite repetitions of light and darkness in this space, with two identical "selves".
"I never thought we were so alike," white murmured like talking to herself in front of a mirror.
"We are not the same bodies as before. Only the similarity of our souls can explain it. Our human forms are just transformations. We can change however we want, just like makeup. Only when we are in dragon form are we truly comparable and unchangeable."
"One white, one black. How did you even realize our similarities? Such a crazy idea could probably only come from you."
Black smiled faintly and sat cross-legged, saying, "I think it's a difference in our mindset. Demon's thoughts are free, open, even crazy. God's thoughts are conservative, sticks-to-the-rules. In the demon race's eyes, you angels are stubborn and inflexible, always talking about rules. Demons will abide by the necessary rules, but they will turn a blind eye to those rules that are not important. There are just too many rules in the realm of gods. Do you know why every Angel who falls from The Divine Realm to The Demon Realm never returns to being an Angel?"
"Because they are sinners."
"No, you gods have always said that those who repent can be forgiven. If a Fallen Angel sincerely repents, you wouldn't reject them, right? At least, a million years ago, when you were still in The Divine Realm, you would give them a chance, right?"
"Indeed, if a repentant sinner could change, we should forgive them. But why hasn't any Fallen Angel chosen to return to The Divine Realm?"
"Because of freedom. They become infatuated with the high level of freedom in The Demon Realm. They have fallen in love with it. In The Divine Realm, they faced too much pressure. As angels, everything they did and said could be a reason for their fall. So they don't want to return to that fearful life anymore."
"But I believe that without rules, The Divine Realm would not be peaceful. A society in chaos can never progress."
"Alright, let's discuss how to govern society another time. In short, demon thoughts allow me to think about our relationship in a crazy way, rather than the fixed idea that gods and demons are enemies. Let's go back to our main theme. I don't know when, but I realized that the reason we always fight when we meet is because there is none."
White suddenly understood. When she was a holy dragon, she would always fight with the demon dragons whenever she encountered them. That's why the two dragons rarely met and all their conversations were conveyed through their subordinates.
"The reason gods and demons never see eye to eye is because of the repulsion between their elements. When a demon, saturated with darkness, encounters a god saturated with light, they become extremely irritable and conflict easily. But the problem is, we are dragons, surpassing the control of elements."
White also sat down and said, "So the problem lies within us."
"Every time we fight, I think it's a way, or a catalyst."
"So you chose war?"
"That's the reason I instigated the war between gods and demons."
"Many people died, including demons. Do you realize that?"
"Hahaha! There is no war without casualties. Besides, war was the only way I could get your attention, our ambassador of peace!" Black half-jokingly said.
"No matter how many millions of years have passed, to ordinary people, it may be a distant past, but for me, it is unforgettable."
"Forget about ancient matters for now. In The Human Realm battle, you and I transcended millions of years of time. It was during this time that darkness and light continuously merged to become what we are now, inseparable. But our souls are still separated. What is the reason behind this?" Black pondered deeply, unable to come up with a reason for the time being."Maybe there's still a missing condition?"
"What condition?"
"After The Human Realm incident, I vaguely saw a fleeting image, too fast to react— it was a golden light, divided into three parts, black, white, and yellow. If black and white represent you and me, then what is the yellow light? Our incomplete fusion might be missing it."
"Could it be a third version of us, or something else entirely?"
"I can't remember clearly, we can only find the answer in our next fusion. When our two souls merge again, we might discover everything."
"So we just have to wait!" Black helplessly lay on the ground, looking at the chaotic sky above.

The girls sat in a room, discussing with different expressions and thoughts.
"Duke Qin is Qin Yang's father, a tiger doesn't eat its cubs, so he should be safe," Clear Senior calmly reassured the others.
The Vice President responded differently, "If he won't harm Qin Yang, why would he have been on the run for ten years?"
"Maybe he just didn't want to face his father," Clear patted Li Liu's shoulder.
"We won't relax until we know for sure if Qin Yang is safe."
Clear sighed softly, "Yes, Qin Yang is larger than life. We survivors who haven't been affected by disaster should leave and let them calm down first."
In an instant, only the President, Vice President, Qiong, Yao, Hanya, Nofice, and the resting Wenxin remained in the house.
"Nofice, can you feel the current condition of your master?"
Even though the contract allows them to connect with me, they can only sense that their lives are not in danger. Nofice, as my familiar, would have more information.
"My master is asleep, trapped in his own created space. I can only know so much, as I can't penetrate the space."
"Will Xiaoyang wake up?"
"Uncertain. Perhaps he'll remain stuck in his own space or maybe he'll wake up on his own after some time."
"What if Xiaoyang never wakes up from it?" Yao always has a tendency to think of the worst-case scenario.
"If he doesn't wake up, we can try using the contract to awaken him." The President had a good suggestion.
"Let's wake him up together. As long as he's awake, he won't fear the Duke, right?" Qiong stood up with a swiftness.
Indeed, Qin Yang would not fear his father if he is awake, although Duke Qin promised his master to protect me, no one knows about it. That's why they come up with various thoughts. It's a woman's instinct.
"We need to go somewhere close to Qin Yang." Close proximity would allow them to transmit their thoughts to me more clearly since the contract's connection is similar to radio waves.
"Knock, knock!" Suddenly, a tall girl wearing a black pleated skirt, white shirt, and black short hair, oozing with a sense of heroism, entered the room.
However, beneath her heroic demeanor, she also appeared a bit timid.
"Can... can I join you? I also want... to contribute for him."
The girls in the room were momentarily confused. They had never seen this girl before, yet she suddenly wanted to join them, leaving them puzzled.
The girl revealed the black and white revolving contract on her left hand.
Suddenly, everyone understood. This must be another one of Qin Yang's fiancées. Although everyone seemed to have some emotions about it, it's not the focus at the moment. They can address it later.
At this point, they had learned from Tesha that I had been taken to the Duke's residence.
The group of seven girls left the hotel with determination and headed to the Duke's mansion, fully prepared to break in.
