"What kind of monster is this?!" Ophelia and the others looked at the monster in front of them with disgust, suppressing the urge to vomit.

The half-masked figure in front no longer resembled a person, with a hunched and stooped posture. Its mouth stretched wide open to the ears, and a snake-like tongue protruded out. Its back was covered in three rows of dense bone spurs, and its body constantly oozed dark red pus blood, emitting a foul smell.

"You guys stay here and hold him back, the rest of us will continue to pursue!" Ophelia spotted another half-masked man attempting to escape again and immediately chased after him without hesitation.

"Don't worry, leave it to us, Your Highness!" the officer raised his eyebrows and gestured for his fellow soldiers to surround the half-masked monster. Each of them held weapons and kept their eyes fixed on him. Two officers simultaneously drew their swords and thrust them into the creature's body, but it felt as if they were stabbing into soft soil.

"Roar!" The black monster let out a low growl, completely ignoring the swords embedded in its body. Its arm, which had transformed into sharp bone claws, grabbed hold of the swords like a vice in an attempt to snap them with its strength.

The two soldiers of the kingdom could not allow their weapons to be subdued. They struggled to free themselves, causing the swords and bone claws to erupt with intense friction. Sparks flew through the dark night, clearly visible. Although they weren't using magical weapons, their excellent quality made them formidable. When they withdrew their swords, they were surprised to find them with cuts.

"Be careful, this monster's claws are incredibly tough!" the two soldiers warned their companions.

This black monster was completely unaffected by their attacks. Its claws had powerful destructive power, and its speed was formidable. If it weren't for the soldiers having the advantage in numbers, they might have been defeated by this black monster in no time.

At this moment, relying on their numbers and excellent combat skills, the group managed to hold the black monster in a state of tremor.

Meanwhile, Ophelia had chased the other half-masked person to the entrance of a cave. She slowed down her pursuit and frowned as she looked at the pitch-black cave in front of her. She contemplated whether to continue chasing, as caves were ideal places for ambushes and traps. Although they had a larger number, they didn't want to throw themselves into death.

"Leave two people here to send a signal and inform the others to come over. The rest of us will go in together!" Ophelia ordered. This was the best choice. If they didn't continue the pursuit and waited for reinforcements, they would indeed be safer, but it would pose a danger to the captured Long Momo and Bexia!

Carrying seven or eight officers, Ophelia continued to pursue into the cave. The dim environment forced them to slow down as they had to use illumination devices to light their way.

Not long after they entered the cave, one officer who was taking out a magic signal device suddenly froze. The faint sound of footsteps made both of them alert at the same time.

"Who's there?!"

"Don't you recognize me anymore?" a voice filled with arrogance came from the darkness. When they saw who it was, the two officers put away their weapons and saluted the newcomer.

"Duke Poster!"

"Are you two gathering reinforcements?" Duke Poster suddenly asked, although curious why Duke Poster had appeared here, they respectfully answered, "Princess Ophelia chased a criminal here. For safety reasons, we were going to gather the troops!"

"If that's the case, then there's no need for that..."

"What do you mean, Duke Poster?" The two officers glanced at each other, not understanding Duke Poster's intentions.

"My point is that there's no need to inform anyone..." A smirk appeared on Duke Poster's lips, and two dark shadows swiftly attacked from the shadows behind the two officers.

"Mpff! Mpff!"

"Duke Poster, you..." The two officers looked incredulously at the gruesome tentacles that pierced their chests. The spikes on them seemed to be alive, absorbing their blood and causing their bodies to dry up at a visible rate. After a moment, when the tentacles returned to the shadows, only two dried-up corpses remained on the ground.

"Anyway, there won't be any more princesses in the future. I, Duke Poster, am the true king of Asman Kingdom."

"Hahaha!" Duke Poster laughed heartily as he walked into the cave. The shadows beneath his feet wriggled along with his laughter, giving an eerie appearance!

Ophelia caught up with the half-masked person and saw the underground space filled with lanterns. Everyone's faces were filled with shock and fear, and a chill rose in their hearts involuntarily.

In a transparent container not far ahead, there were many limbs of both humans and monsters, and a huge container was filled with countless hearts. Next to it was a pool of blood, with numerous bodies floating in it. The pungent smell of blood could be detected with a slight sniff.

At this moment, Long Mumu was chained to a stone pillar while Bexia was casually thrown aside. The half-masked person carrying both of them stood behind a person in a black robe, as if he was specifically welcoming their arrival.

"Are you the serial killer?!" Ophelia suppressed her anger. Everything before her eyes explained it all. The recent murders were caused by the person in front of her, the mastermind behind it all.

The person in the black robe did not answer Ophelia's question. Instead, he pointed forward. The half-masked person behind him suddenly rushed towards Ophelia, extending his withered hand and lightly tapping the ground. Dozens of magic circles swiftly expanded with him as the center.

"Stop him!" This formation was undoubtedly a large-scale magic. Ophelia drew her sword and rushed towards the incoming half-masked person, with the military officers behind her also reacting simultaneously.

Although the strength of the half-masked person was formidable, he was instantly overwhelmed by Ophelia and the others. Ophelia, relying on her speed, continued to charge towards the person in the black robe. If releasing magic was terrifying, then an elemental mage who had yet to release their magic was at their most vulnerable.

However, just as they approached the elemental mage in the black robe, it seemed like they stepped on something?

Suddenly, a flash of light and the magic circle was activated. A pillar about one meter and forty-five centimeters tall shot up from beneath Ophelia, stabbing straight up from her abdomen.

Earth Spike spell! Although it was just a very ordinary low-level magic, it was an excellent magic for sneak attacks. If one wasn't careful, they could be pierced directly by the earth spike.

Fortunately, Ophelia reacted quickly and immediately dodged the earth spike by sidestepping. But just as she evaded the spike, her foot landed on the ground, and another magic circle was activated. Another earth spike emerged from the ground.

"Your Highness, are you alright?" The military officer behind her noticed the situation and was about to approach Ophelia, but she stopped him.

"Don't come near! The magic here is a carpet-style trap!"
