"Ow... It hurts!"

Baryfuria woke up in her villa in her own city. The sunlight outside was bright, and the trees were swaying. It was a rare good weather.

However, waking up in such good weather was not as pleasant as usual. She felt a weak and nauseous sensation as if she hadn't fully recovered from a hangover, and her head was throbbing!

She instinctively reached up and touched it. The fresh pain instantly woke Baryfuria up from her half-asleep state, and she jumped up from the bed, holding her head and rolling on the bed.

It's a big bump, when did I get this?

Sitting on the bed, Baryfuria pressed her forehead and tried to recall seriously. It seems like she had dinner with Tiran in the mansion last night, um, what happened after that?

"I can't remember..." She sighed and fell back, and the big bump on the back of her head hit the pillow directly.

"Ow, it hurts!"

"Geez, can you be quiet, you idiot! Even if you just woke up, please consider someone who hasn't slept for half the night!"

The bedroom door was kicked open, and Tiran walked in with a black and unhappy face.

"Little, little Tiran?"

...

After changing out of her pajamas and freshening up, Baryfuria cautiously followed Tiran, who had a stern expression, down the stairs and into the living room on the first floor.

"What? Why are you so nervous in my own house?" Baryfuria said she didn't know either, but she felt that Tiran's temperament was a bit different today, flirtatious... but amazing! Baryfuria couldn't help but be infatuated with Tiran's back.

Arriving in the living room and seeing the two people sitting on the sofa, Baryfuria was stunned for a moment.

"Eh... what's going on?"

Aya, who was with Tiran last night, had a few scratches on her body, but the maid leader Mimi seemed to be in worse condition. There was a deep wound on her left leg, which had been treated, but the bandage still showed a hint of red.

"You really don't know?" Tiran supported herself on the sofa, her azure eyes filled with suspicion.

"Of course not, I still have no idea what happened." Baryfuria replied, still with a look of suspicion. Tiran briefly recounted the attack that happened last night.

"What?! My mansion was attacked?! No way! What were the losses? Is the building okay? If that old guy finds out, he will punish me and lock me up in the small black room again... Ow!"

Baryfuria looked at Tiran pitifully as she was suddenly struck on the head.

"Why did you hit me, Tiran?"

"Don't you find something strange about your priorities? We were both attacked, yet you are only worried about the money?" Tiran couldn't bear it anymore and almost struck her head again.

"What's wrong with worrying about money? It's our family's hard-earned money that built this mansion!" Baryfuria raised her head defiantly and retorted.

"Tsk, sometimes your intelligence surprises me." Tiran sighed with a headache. She lightly slapped the smooth cheek of the red-haired older sister two years her senior. "Now, everyone suspects that it was the Hersha family's doing. I think you should understand, right?"

"Oh... Ah?!" The effect of the anesthesia seemed to have worn off, and Baryfuria suddenly woke up, looking surprised. "Oh my, is it true? Our mansion was clearly attacked!"

"Yes, but don't you think it's a bit too coincidental in the eyes of others? You specifically chose to entertain me in your own mansion without any outsiders, and the attacker silently infiltrated, even using ordinary criminals can't obtain weapons like a magic cannon..."

"Tiran, I am innocent!" Baryfuria said tearfully.

"Of course, I believe you, but believing in you is one thing, and convincing others is beyond my control." Tiran spread her hands, with a playful expression.

"Anyway, this is the situation now, let's see how it goes. I'm going back to sleep... I'm dead tired from not sleeping all night." Tiran yawned and stretched lazily as she walked towards the door.

"Wait, I have something... Why do I have a bump on the back of my head? It hurts."

"Um..." Tiran gave Aya a fierce glare.

...

"So, why not just explain everything clearly?"

In the carriage traveling towards the hotel, Aya rested her hands behind her head and yawned as she asked."Because I believe her. Even if this thing is really related to the Hesse family, Bavaria may not be aware of it," Tiran said, holding a gold coin in his hand, feeling the roughness of the pattern with his fingertips.

"But Your Highness, this coin..." Mimi frowned, her gaze falling on the gold coin in Tiran's hand.

This Milanian gold coin looks no different from the circulating coins on the market, but below the royal emblem, there is a very small emblem.

It is the emblem of the Hesse family.

Engraving the family emblem on the coins used in the family industry is the honor bestowed by the royal family to the four noble families. They can circulate like regular coins. Normally, this coin would not fall into the hands of outsiders, even if Tiran is a princess, she would not normally use these family coins.

But Tiran has a whole box of them in her hand. This box of gold coins was all found in the bandit camp that attacked them on the way.

It was bizarre for ordinary bandits to actively attack a heavily guarded convoy, but if they were hired, everything would make sense.

There was also one thing that Tiran did not tell Bavaria.

Back to last night, the devastated Hesse Manor.

The maid commander, Mimi, brought a man who was half a head taller than her to Tiran.

"Mimi? Are you okay?" Tiran noticed the injuries on Mimi and felt worried.

"I'm fine, but the enemy's strength exceeded my expectations. I'm really sorry that they escaped," Mimi said, enduring the pain and saluting. She glanced at the man bound tightly by her silver whip. "I only managed to destroy the magic cannon and capture this guy. He was the gunner who operated the magic cannon to attack us."

"Tsk, what's going on? Are the mercenary group's equipment so sophisticated these days? They even managed to get their hands on a magic cannon, a weapon that can supposedly blast dragons with one shot?" Tiran clicked his tongue.

"Nonsense!" Aya got a little excited, realizing that her volume was a bit high. She lowerer her voice, but her tone still revealed dissatisfaction. "That kind of power is barely enough to tickle an A-Lin kind, let alone scratch a Dragon..."

Then, Tiran, Aya, and all the guards who arrived stared at the gunner, who had an expression of guilt on his face.

After that, it was a simple interrogation.

The process was much easier than expected. Two knights pinned the guy to the ground, and the cold-faced Goeffith casually pressed his sword against his neck. The gunner immediately confessed everything he knew, without any consciousness of protecting his teammates as a member of the team.

This guy wasn't even a formal member of the Snow Wolf Mercenary Group. He was recruited by the captain, Beyerlich, from another mercenary group - it was said that he used to be an apprentice in a Magic Guild and became a mercenary because progress in Magic The Realm was slow.

Before this, the Snow Wolf Mercenary Group had only used cannons against giant beasts. As for advanced weapons like the magic cannon, they had never even seen them.

According to him, the magic cannon was provided by the employer and would be returned after the mission, but no one, including Captain Beyerlich, knew the specific identity of the employer.

The most important thing was that the knights found a money bag on this guy, and the coins inside were said to be part of the employer's hiring fee. And the coins inside were exactly the same as the ones Goeffith found in the bandit camp, which were the Hesse family's family coins.

"This is getting complicated," Tiran sighed and leaned back in her chair.

The interrogation last night didn't take too long, but afterwards, she and Goeffith talked about this for a long time in the hotel. Subjectively, Tiran definitely didn't want to suspect her friend, and even objectively, Bavaria could not be unaware of her capabilities. If she really planned to attack her, the bandits and the Snow Wolf Mercenary Group would have no meaning at all.

In the end, the decision was to first notify the capital.

- This kind of matter involving the royal family and the nobility is not something they can simply decide.

In the afternoon, news came from the capital through a remote communication array.

"The plan to go to the capital is on hold. Stay and rest in the Hesse family territory first."
