6. The Power of Summoning creatures

After creating some distance, Milia raised her long sword with both hands, and a dazzling red light enveloped the blade.

The wooden dummy's fists emitted a faint yellow light as they charged towards Milia.

In the moment of the punch, Milia danced with her body and sword, evading the right punch by turning sideways and cutting off the wooden dummy's right wrist with a swing of her sword. At the same time, she spun around and performed a spinning cut across the wooden dummy's neck. After a continuous series of movements, she ended up behind the wooden dummy.

There was no need to turn around to confirm it. Milia confirmed her victory, and with a flick of her sword, the red aura that covered the blade dissipated like blood.

Subsequently, the wooden dummy's right wrist and head dropped to the ground and rolled, and its body fell apart again.

It ended too quickly; it couldn't even be considered a battle.

This is the extent of the wooden dummy, even if it reaches Level Max, it doesn't change the fact that it's just a wooden dummy.

"How was it?"

"Very strong. Being able to use the Aura in battle, undoubtedly stronger than me yesterday. I should have the strength of at least B+ level."

Surprisingly high praise, even though it looked so effortless.

"So, Aura is the power that makes the sword glow, right?"

"Yeah, I only realized it yesterday and haven't mastered it yet."

Milia looked at the sword in her hand, her expression filled with joy. Aura must be a powerful ability.

"I see, let's take a break and sit down."

After sitting down, I patted the grass beside me, and Milia put her sword back into its sheath and sat down as well.

Unbeknownst to us, the sky was gradually becoming brighter.

The forest was shrouded in mist, creating a hazy feeling.

I checked my phone, and the time was 5:49.

After reaching Level Max, a new icon appeared for the wooden dummy.

An even more powerful wooden dummy?

"Unlock requirement PP: 1000 points" Confirm/Cancel.

The second level also requires 1000 points.

I directly consumed 2000 PP to unlock both of them, leaving me with 2300 PP remaining.

"So this is Lan's magic tool?"

Milia had been curiously watching me operate my phone.

"Yeah, let's try summoning the new one now."

After reaching Level Max, the "Armor Warrior" appeared, and at the second level, it was the "Sitting Wolf," both at Level 1, of course.

I dragged both icons to the skill bar.

"Armor Warrior, summon!"

Black mist surged out from the ground about two meters in front.

Accompanying the black mist was a humanoid figure standing around one meter and eighty centimeters tall, wearing a large conical bamboo hat that covered the head and shoulders, and dressed in black armor that completely covered the body. A long and short katana was fastened around the waist.

A true warrior.

Driven by curiosity, I and Milia peered under the hat together—there was only a mask revealing the mouth and eyes, but it was empty underneath.

How eerie.

"Do you want me to test its strength?"

"Maybe not, it looks dangerous. Let's have the wooden dummy try it first—Iron Fist Wooden Dummy, summon!"

I also wanted to know if the Level Max wooden dummy was more powerful or the Level 1 warrior.

After creating some distance with Milia, I ordered, "Destroy each other!"

In an instant after the order, I only saw five flashes of the sword, and before the wooden dummy could react, its head and limbs separated from its body.

The warrior only made a slight motion of unsheathing the sword.

"...I didn't let you test it, but it turned out great."

"...Yes."

Obviously, not even Milia could see the speed at which the warrior unsheathed the sword.

I glanced at the warrior's introduction.

----------------

Armor Warrior

Level: 1

Special ability: "Sword Qi Wave"

Max quantity: 100

Summon MP cost: 100

----------------

There was no button for fast leveling up.

You can actually summon up to 100 of them, like an army?

No, they might be even more powerful than an army since they're just shells and don't get tired.

I also took a look at summoning the second level Sitting Wolf.

----------------

Sitting Wolf

Level: 1

Special ability: "Wolf Pack Summon"

Max quantity: 10

Summon MP cost: 100

----------------"Seat Wolf, summon!"

A wolf jumped out of the void.

It was much larger than an ordinary wolf, with an unusually sturdy appearance.

It was even similar to a horse, shorter than a horse but stronger, with something like a saddle on its back but no reins.

It should be rideable, after all, it's called a "Seat Wolf".

I touched the saddle, but the Seat Wolf didn't react, so I climbed on directly.

After I got on, the Seat Wolf moved slightly, more comfortable than I expected, maybe because I had ridden horses before.

Since there were no reins, I would need to adapt if I wanted to ride the wolf into battle.

"Is everything okay?"

Milia looked very nervous.

I stroked the wolf's mane, and it turned its head, looking very comfortable, just like a little dog.

"It's fine, unexpectedly soft fur, quite comfortable to ride. By the way! Why don't we just ride the wolf back to the city? Feels like we can make it there in a day."

"Huh?!"

Before Milia could react, I summoned four more wolves from the void, making a total of five including myself.

The Armor Warrior astride one, no problem, as long as I approve, anyone can ride.

"Give it a try."

"Lan, are you serious? It looks stronger than a B-ranked Storm Wolf..."

"Of course I'm serious, quickly pick one and try riding it."

"But..."

I jumped off the wolf's back.

I chose a pure white one from the four and brought it in front of Milia.

I forcefully pushed Milia onto the wolf's back.

Milia timidly touched the mane on the back of the wolf.

"Eek!!!"

The wolf seemed a little itchy and shook its head, scaring Milia.

—As long as you get used to it.

"Wow—so many monster wolves!"

Silena's scream came from the entrance of the cave.

"Fireball!"

With Lucia's voice, a large fireball shot towards us.

"Hey! Who attacks without warning!?"

I couldn't help yelling.

We were in a lower position, and with a few wolves blocking us, we couldn't be seen from the entrance.

"Oh dear!"

Suddenly, the Armor Warrior roared and drew his sword, splitting the fireball in half with a shockwave. At the same time, he jumped on the wolf and landed at the entrance of the cave.

Can it make sounds? Wasn't it empty inside?

No time to think.

Without my command, they wouldn't attack on their own, but they would immediately counterattack if attacked.

"Stop!!!"

I quickly shouted and ran over. Milia also jumped off the wolf and followed behind me. When we reached the entrance, the sword of the Armor Warrior was pointed at Lucia's neck, and the Seat Wolf's open mouth was angled towards Silena, almost biting down.

Quickly command them to step back.

Luckily, nobody was hurt. If we were a little slower...

"Are you guys okay—"

"—Waaah... Thank you, thank you, Lan brother... waaah..."

Silena hugged my waist and cried.
