13. Arriving in Londia

"Londia"

Londia, a border frontier city under the jurisdiction of the United Nations Syndia, is one of the few mega cities in the world.

This area is filled with numerous monsters and is completely undeveloped without any villages.

Therefore, it attracts a majority of adventurers, pioneers, explorers, and profit-seeking merchants.

Of course, it was Milia who introduced us... As we gradually approached the town, we occasionally encountered groups of adventurers.

We bid farewell to Louise and the others early in the morning today. Of course, I didn't forget to touch Milia's butt in front of Austin, but then I was scolded by Milia.

Achieving the goal of making that kid feel heartbroken is enough.

To avoid unnecessary trouble, I called back the warriors and the extra riding wolves. I actually wanted to recall all four of the riding wolves, but they said it's normal to ride beasts in this world, so we rode the four wolves and entrusted the large bags of gold coins and magic cores to Silena to carry.

It was her own request, I'm not interested in abusing lolis, and besides, I can't even lift them. So! Why don't I have superhuman strength even though I'm level 33?

"Wow!"

Suddenly, I heard the sound of a horse neighing and someone yelling...

"What, what is it?!"

Looking over, I saw soldiers in unified armor, wearing iron armor or light armor, totaling dozens of people. There seemed to be a unified dragon emblem on the light armor. Aren't they the army?

It seems like they fell because of us. They quickly rode their horses towards us, only to be scared away by the wolves?

Should we apologize... "A, A-rank pioneers!!"

"Stand back, disperse!!"

The voices of two men in the lead rang out as dozens of people got off their horses and calmed them down, letting the four of us pass...

Huh? Aren't soldiers supposed to be stronger?

"What powerful monsters, this is the strength of A-rank pioneers!!"

"What powerful weapons, like the death gods in the books..."

"Is the handsome guy in the front the leader? He looks so cool even when injured..."

"I have never seen such a large magic core, they must have hunted a dragon-level opponent"

I could hear various whispers from the men and women nearby.

Are they talking about me, the cool guy? Well then, miss, come out, I've decided to give you a gift.

But after thinking about it, I decided to restrain myself.

As we moved away, we could still see them looking back at us from a distance.

"Is it really okay? Should we call back the wolves and walk there?"

"It's okay, this is how A-rank pioneers should be treated..."

Milia rode side by side with me on the wolf and expressed her satisfaction.

"Hehe~ so cool."

Silena intentionally held the magic core of the martial bear in her hand and showed it off, seemingly achieving the reaction she wanted. Now she had a very happy smile.

She's such a cute girl... but on the other hand, she easily thinks of killing people...

"I didn't expect to be admired by others... Now I understand the feelings of those S-rank adventurers."

Lucia, carrying the giant sickle, also seemed to enjoy the attention.

You guys are only A-rank, so I won't say anything about this lack of charm.

"Well, since you all say so, I can only go along with it..."

We could already see the edge of the fortress.

Of course, the number of pedestrians around us was gradually increasing.

Their gaze was quite intense. Without exception, whether on foot or on horseback, everyone voluntarily made way for us.

Milia, Silena, and Lucia all hung their identity badges on their chests, the most conspicuous position. How awesome are A-rank pioneers... The reactions of these pedestrians are too extreme, right?

There seems to be a merchant convoy ahead... There's no reason for them to make way for us.

And there are four guys who look like guards riding on strange creatures resembling black panthers.

They seemed quite formidable, which triggered the fighting spirit of the wolves. They growled at the black panthers, which were one size smaller than them.

"Let's go around..."

"No, desu~"

"We need to be imposing! Knock them over!!"

Hey hey!! These two completely look like villains... Uh, they were just discussing how to kill people earlier.

The two people riding on the black panthers seemed to have heard Lucia's dangerous remark and immediately said something to the front carriage. After a while, the carriage stopped at the edge of the road to make way for us.

Damn... they really made way for us.

Silena was in the front, followed by Lucia, then me, and Milia at the back.

The people riding the leopards looked at us with awe as we passed by. I finally realized something - they were not nervous about our A-rank adventurer badges, but rather scared of the wolves we were riding on, as they could sense the power of the mount recognizing its owner.

A class-based society...

As we passed by a merchant convoy, I noticed that the last carriage was filled with goods, while the two in the middle were filled with slaves.

They had collars around their necks, dressed like slaves from TV shows - one carriage for women and another for men. The women were dressed in provocative outfits that resembled the revealing lingerie on Earth.

When I passed by the carriage of women, I noticed five beautiful women who were being avoided by the others. Without exception, all five had striking red pupils, with different hair colors - two with sky blue, two with lava red, and one with long black hair... our eyes met.

They looked somewhat Asian, stunningly beautiful, even more so than Milia, and there was a sense of familiarity in their Asian appearance.

As I stared at her, I felt Milia's piercing gaze from behind me. I gave up on making eye contact with the woman and looked away, only to find that she had also averted her gaze.

Was it just my imagination?

We were now approaching the outer wall.

Upon closer inspection, the city was quite spectacular - the towering walls reached dozens of meters in height, with outward protruding watchtowers at approximately seven-meter intervals, along with enormous crossbows, giving a sense of absolute security.

I never thought I would personally see something like this. I've seen it in fantasy movies and games, but none of them conveyed this sense of majesty and intimidation.

As we approached, the crowd divided into two sides.

-Fear.

-Admiration.

-Envy.

Accompanied by various gazes and whispered conversations, we reached the city gate. There were four fully armored guards on each side, and several guards performing inspections inside.

The gate was divided into two sides - the left side for adventurers and the like, and the right side for ordinary people.

As our wolves approached, the area near the gate suddenly cleared.

"Oh, is this Lucia and Silena? Milia is here too. Is this your companion? Come over here for inspection."

A slightly chubby man, resembling an inspector, approached us with something resembling a baton in his hand, greeting us.

Wow, such dedicated guards. They remember the names of every adventurer. Just as I was thinking that, Lucia's expression changed.

Huh!?

She became tense and the wolves sensed it, growling softly. All three of us on the wolves also entered into a state of battle readiness.

The guards panicked, and one of them was even scared by the wolf's glare, causing him to drop his long spear.

Is this alright? Such behavior from the guards...

"No need for inspection. Please, let us pass!"

The inspector let us through.

It seemed like he was frightened by Lucia's clear killing intent.

Normally, this would be considered threatening officials, right? If they can tolerate this, there must be some hidden reason preventing the guards from causing a scene.

Well, I misjudged the guards of this city. They are all just a bunch of lazy and corrupt individuals.

Usually, you can determine if a city is corrupt based on its guards. It seems like this city is full of holes.

They must be thinking of massacring this city and then joining the army of the Demon King. I think I can understand their thoughts.

-Enter the city.

Within the city walls, there was a gap of about twenty meters between the streets and houses - probably for marching and city defense purposes, as well as for the arrival and preparation of merchant caravans.

The houses were generally constructed with wood and stone, resembling European houses from the medieval period, but subtly different, similar to those in fantasy MMORPGs.

"Is it okay to walk on the streets riding the wolves?"

I had a feeling that it would cause a commotion.

Because we were walking in the open area, we had already attracted the attention of children and various spectators.

"Well, be a little more confident."

"I'm not really used to this kind of thing..."

"It's better this way."

Lucia rode her wolf alongside me on the left, while Milia was on the right.Silena, who was carrying a big bag in front, seemed to enjoy the attention of others.

Once we entered the street, it felt like a festival. The sides of the road were filled with people, and the vendors were blocked, although they did not block us who were riding on wolf-back, feeling superior.

With the majestic and intimidating posture of the wolves, even the passing pedestrians disappeared, forming neat rows and making way for us.

Walking through the town made me feel like an important figure, even the windows on the second and third floors were crowded with spectators.

The road was still spacious enough for three wolves to walk side by side, with vendors and passersby filling the sides. However, Milia and Lucia's wolves were subtly slower than mine by about a head.

They are intentionally making me stand out!

Since they like to show off, the only thing left for me is to accompany them wholeheartedly.

When one attracts attention, they should think of other things, such as the clothes of the passersby or how beautiful that girl is. Otherwise, one would feel unnatural all over, appearing very stiff and making a fool of themselves.

The standard of women in this world is generally high. As for men, I don't appreciate them. They all have blond hair, mixed-race faces with brown hair, and they can probably make some fangirls weak in the knees...

These people's clothing can be categorized into three types: ordinary people in earth-colored fabrics, luxurious silk-wearing merchants, and adventurers dressed in various bizarre equipment... It even made me suspect if I had transmigrated into the world of Monster Hunter.

Equipment made from monster materials, bikini armor, nun outfits, everything is there.

However, the weapons are not that glamorous... Long spears, giant axes, long swords, greatswords, bows and arrows, and occasionally, you can see someone wielding a hammer.

That's about it, there are no advanced firearms. Without a doubt, Lucia carrying a gigantic scythe is the most eye-catching among us.

There are also occasional whispers among adventurers that the wolves seem to be classified as A-level powerful monsters, which is unexpected...

After turning two streets, we stopped under the signboard of the "Rondia Pioneer Guild."
