It was not until Friday that the property management department sent repairmen to fix the water and electricity supply system. As for the network installation, it was temporarily put on hold due to the high cost.

The former thief teacher was an old man who didn't need to use the internet. However, to everyone's surprise, the small wooden building was actually connected to a television cable.

In the past few days, Lun Hui and his apprentice had been busy repairing and organizing the haunted house, until they finally realized a fact. This house was not an office building at all, but a residential house. The first floor had a large hall with office desks, a kitchen, and a big bathroom, while the second floor had three bedrooms and a small attic.

Lun Hui didn't think much about it and cleared out almost all the furniture in the house, leaving only some important information from the previous generations of thief students.

But these were all minor details. Lun Hui was well aware that based on the needs of the thief curriculum, as long as he didn't voluntarily resign or make any major mistakes, Thorny University would not consider hiring more thief teachers in the next few decades. In other words, this small house and the surrounding area were his territory.

How to arrange the house was his decision.

"What size of TV do you think would be better? 60 inches, or should we just get a projector?" Lun Hui enthusiastically gestured in the empty purple living room and turned to look at the little elf.

"I don't know." Eve was exhausted. She had been working as a free labor under Lun Hui for the past few days, cleaning, moving furniture, and doing other chores. It was quite a challenge for her, as she was used to being taken care of and not doing any physical labor.

At this moment, the little elf was tired and didn't care about cleanliness. She sat with her knees against the wall in a bare corner.

"Let's go with a 60-inch TV and also get a PX series game console. This way, we can not only watch TV but also have some entertainment for our mind and body," Lun Hui suggested, crossing his arms and vividly imagining the layout of the house. "How about turning it into a home theater? We can have full-range floor-standing speakers on both sides and a subwoofer in the center."

After spending a few days together, the little elf had gained some understanding of Lun Hui. This young thief mentor was nothing like the competent, dignified, and amiable teacher she had imagined. Instead, he had a somewhat casual, careless personality, and occasionally even showed a hint of a rogue side.

However, the little elf wouldn't grumble or complain openly. Her upbringing as an elf allowed her to maintain respect for her mentor. If it were an ordinary human student, it would be hard to say if they would complain or not.

Lost in his thoughts, the little elf actually nodded off.

"We can place the game console here, and put the turntable and decoder on the left, while the power amplifier can be on the right... Eve, what kind of music do you usually listen to?" Lun Hui enthusiastically turned his head to ask, only to find that Eve had buried her head in her arms and fallen asleep.

Lun Hui steadied himself and then smiled lightly.

After all, she was his student, just a sixteen-year-old human girl. It seemed that he had pushed her too hard these past few days, and Lun Hui couldn't help feeling a slight sense of guilt.

So, Lun Hui cautiously sat down next to Eve, against the wall, and took off his black windbreaker, gently draping it over Eve's back.

Without Lun Hui's chattering, the small wooden house in the woods instantly became quiet, with only the faint sound of insects and the distant calls of birds and beasts.

Life is unpredictable. Lun Hui recalled that just a few years ago, he used to follow Longyou on thief missions, and now, not long after, he had become a "glorious" thief teacher and unexpectedly acquired his first apprentice. He wondered how Longyou would react if he found out about this, he would probably laugh.

To be honest, Lun Hui didn't have much attachment to his profession, or even care about it. Choosing to be a thief was not so much because of his father's influence, but rather a deliberate choice to keep a minimal interaction with others. And coming to Thorny University was entirely because of Yan Xianghua's suggestion.

If it weren't for Rhythm Nolan being a bother, Lun Hui would definitely enjoy this campus life. Some frustrating issues arise when one realizes that they are already married, with a wife, in the midst of confusion. However, one feels detached, as if it is someone else's matter, and they are simply a spectator.

In Lun Hui's mind, he does have someone he wants to marry, but it's not an unattainable dream. He just hasn't spoken up, and the other person may not necessarily agree. But now, he has lost the qualification to speak up.

But the only certain thing is that the women who marry him will not have a good ending. So, a disguised marriage like the one with Rhythm Nolan is actually beneficial for everyone.

Lun Hui let his thoughts scatter like this, not knowing how long he had been lost in his own thoughts.

It wasn't until the sound of the truck engine woke up the little elf that he realized he had fallen asleep in the teacher's embrace.

"The garbage truck is here," Lun Hui looked down at the gem-like eyes of the little elf and smiled.

Eve, on the other hand, jumped up like a startled little rabbit.

"Master, I'm sorry."

She felt a bit embarrassed, not only because she had fallen asleep in Lun Hui's embrace, but also because she had fallen asleep while he was talking.

Lun Hui waved his hand, indicating that it was not a problem.

The truck was called by Lun Hui, with its spacious interior enough to carry all the trash and furniture cleaned up over the past few days. So, the teacher and the apprentice, along with a few workers, spent another half an hour busy loading the truck. Finally, they watched as the truck drove away on a secluded path in the tall forest.

"This week is finally over," Lun Hui stretched and yawned, disregarding his image.

The little elf, however, felt a bit upset. In essence, she hadn't learned much in the first semester of following Lun Hui, which was difficult to explain for someone as ambitious as her.

Of course, Lun Hui couldn't have overlooked Eve's cool facial expressions and subtle emotions.

"Do you feel like you haven't learned anything this week? It feels like you've been doing cleaning with me, which can be boring, right?" Lun Hui asked straightforwardly.

The little elf felt a bit awkward, not knowing whether to nod or shake her head.

"Haha, having ambition is a good thing, but as a thief, sometimes being lazy is not necessarily a bad thing." With that, Lun Hui took out an ordinary training dagger from his pocket. "Eve, do you remember what you said a thief is best at?"

The little elf wondered why, at this almost end-of-school time, Lun Hui seemed to be starting a lesson.

"It's burst damage."

"Correct." Lun Hui took out a small silver ball from another pocket. "Do you know what this is?"

"This is a magical measurement tool for attack output." As an exemplary student, the little elf immediately answered.

"Exactly, this magic testing device can measure energy output in various ways, whether it's through magic elements, aura, or pure physical strength. You must have done similar tests, can you share your results?" Lun Hui asked.

"Earth elemental output, 4500 units." The little elf's tone was calm, but it revealed a sense of pride.

"No wonder you're an elf. Without taking professional courses, you can achieve such output. How can those earth magic users compete?" Lun Hui praised with a smile.

Then, he activated the magic device, and the silver ball floated in mid-air, emitting a burst of white mist, enveloping it in a spherical shape.

The little elf was praised by Lun Hui and a red blush appeared on her cool face, but she couldn't feel happy for long.

Suddenly, Lun Hui stood straight, without any pretense, his right hand gripping the ordinary fifteen-centimeter training dagger, hanging by his side.

And in the next moment, Lun Hui swiftly swung the dagger up from below, a blazing black light flashed, and by the time the little elf reacted, Lun Hui's right hand had returned to his side!

That moment of grace, like a ghost in the dark night, deeply engraved itself in Eve's mind. The silver ball did not report any data as usual, but dropped directly on the ground.

The little fairy widened her eyes, quickly ran up and squatted down to pick up the prop and examine it, only to find that there was a big hole pierced through the ball.

Just how large and dense of an instant output would be needed to pierce through the magical barrier enveloping the metal ball?

"This is the first lesson I taught you as a thief mentor, that all numerical measurements are meaningless and only death is the answer," Lun Hui said with a laugh, throwing away the shattered training dagger and heading back to the house. "Next week, we will start training. Rest well, you will be tired then."

"Oh... um." The little fairy suddenly felt that her master's actions were quite handsome. A teacher was a teacher, and ordinary students couldn't casually break magic measurement tools. With this in mind, Eve clenched her small, pink fist.

--------------

On this Saturday morning, it was a bit noisy, which made Lun Hui angrily wake up from his lazy bed state.

The train's roar outside bid farewell to him and the beauties in his dream.

"Damn, who comes to disturb my peaceful dream so early on a Saturday morning!" Lun Hui pulled open the curtains and looked down. He found a train and a black sports car for women parked outside his door.

Lun Hui had a bad feeling, regardless of his disheveled hair or pajamas, he hurriedly rolled downstairs without tidying up.

"Good morning, Aunt Hua."

A super beauty stood in the entrance, none other than Lun Hui's cheap wife, Rhythm Nolan.

"Oh, Xiao Lyu hasn't come to my house for years, come in without hesitation." Comrade Yan Xianghua was overjoyed and quickly invited her daughter-in-law inside. "Why call her Aunt Hua, it's been so long, now that you're married, call me Mom."

Lun Hui almost tripped over his slippers and fell to the ground.

"Rhythm, why did you come so early?" Lun Hui quickly interrupted the two, he couldn't let Yan Xianghua have her way.

"I'm moving these days, and I need to buy some furniture from Lun Hui. I'm usually busy with work, so I have to seize this weekend. Aunt Hua, I hope I'm not disturbing you?" Rhythm Nolan hesitated for a moment, but didn't say it out loud.

"No, no, of course not." Yan Xianghua happily took Rhythm Nolan's hand. "Young people should go out and cultivate relationships on weekends. It's boring to stay at home all the time."

Lun Hui felt uncomfortable seeing his mother's enthusiasm.

"Thank you, Aunt Hua."

"No need to thank me. We're all family now," Yan Xianghua smiled and turned her little face, suddenly glared at Lun Hui, her face changing like flipping a page. "You little brat, hurry up and change your clothes for me! How long do you want Xiao Lyu to wait!?"

Seeing the parent assert herself, Lun Hui had to quickly run back and wash up and tidy up a bit. But his sleepy eyes still seemed a bit heavy and dim.

Soon, Lun Hui got into Rhythm Nolan's black Lotus sports car and left his street under Yan Xianghua's eager gaze. The heavy train was left behind to pick up Lun Hui's furniture and daily necessities. This was naturally not difficult. Lun Hui had been organizing at home these days, and the large and small boxes were already neatly arranged.

"Good morning," Rhythm Nolan seemed to be in a good mood and greeted Lun Hui proactively.

"Good...yeah right, it's only seven o'clock, could you have come a little later?" Lun Hui said irritably.

"If I didn't come early, how could I see my lazy husband in his pajamas?"

"Don't worry, when we live together, I'll let you see enough every day," Lun Hui chuckled.

"It's good that you have the courage. I'm afraid you won't be able to enter my room when the time comes," Rhythm Nolan coldly snorted.

Just as they had left two streets, Lun Hui suddenly patted the seat. "Park the car."Rhythm Nolan had no choice but to lean against the roadside and stop.

"What's up?" The captain asked coldly.

"I'm buying breakfast. There's a small stall by the roadside. Would you like some too? Since you came out so early, I guess you haven't had breakfast either," Lun Hui kindly asked.

"Thanks for your concern, but you can buy yours," Rhythm replied.

Lun Hui shrugged and didn't mind. In a short while, he returned to his seat with a bowl of soy milk, a few dough sticks, and an egg. Although they were pretending to be a couple, they had known each other since childhood and had played together before. They were not at the point of being awkward.

"You look a little different today compared to usual. I was worried that if you just went out with me casually, someone might recognize you," Lun Hui mumbled with a mouthful of dough sticks and soy milk.

Indeed, compared to the dreamlike feeling of wearing the Royal Knight's uniform, today's Rhythm Nolan had more of a "human" touch. The lines on his face appeared softer, although still incredibly beautiful. However, there was no longer that special feeling, and even acquaintances would find it difficult to recognize him as the captain of the Royal Knights that could be seen on TV.

"This is a small technique of Qi manipulation. Many people can use it, and ordinary people can't tell. However, observant people can still figure it out," Rhythm explained.

"That's a great technique. It's a pity I don't know how to manipulate Qi. Otherwise, I would try to see if I can make myself more handsome," Lun Hui said regretfully.
