The rain fell from the sky, slapping over the gray edges of the leaves before bouncing around us and bouncing off the mist beside Emile, creating a wonderful scene.

Emile looked directly into Tassili, or Nalesha's eyes, her pupils glowing with an eerie iridescence.

--Advancedlevel 3-Charmed Eyes.

"You, where are you from?"

Nalesha opened her mouth, saying scattered syllables.

"G...... rifen."

Griffin Forest!?

Emile wagged her index finger at me smugly and continued her questioning.

"What are you doing here?"

"To rescue, to find ...... for ......"

"For who? To find what?"

Emile kept asking.

"For ......"

Just as Nalesha was about to say the truth, the ring on her right ring finger suddenly emitted a ghostly blue flashy light.

"For ...... eh!?"

Nalesha's eyes regained their clarity, then retreated in horror to the very end of the branch and leaned against the tree trunk behind her.

"...... chit."

Emile glared at her ring angrily and crouched down in front of her.

"-- Hey, what are you doing here?"

"I ......"

"You broke the walls, didn't you?"

"What ...... what?"

"I said - the city wall is ......"

Just then, the giant tree we were in suddenly shook violently, and several unstable branches fell one after another, causing the branches to make a few clicking sounds.

"Hey, what are you doing?"

A conversation came from under the tree.

"I think I just saw a light up there."

One guard stepped on the tree, while the other held the gun and fell on his back under the tree. "It was just a thunder."

"No, it was a little darker."

"Darker what ...... we didn't run here to find someone, we came here to be lazy, you understand?"

"Eh? The captain did not say that this side of the forest is likely have people hiding?"

"Do not listen to his nonsense, if I say, he has already run away, it’s meaningless for us to search here."

"......"

"Okay, don't stand still, it's uncomfortable, come here, lie down, I don't know why it's dry here, it's quite comfortable to sit..."-------- ------

"Uh-huh!?"

Nalesha’s mouth was covered by Emile, struggled a few times.

"Shh, don't move, I can only block sound, not light and shadow with this spell, got it?"

She nodded obediently.

"Okay ...... So, why are you destroying the walls?"

"Uh-huh ......"

She shook her head hard to show that she didn't know anything about it at all.

"Stop pretending, but we followed you all the way ......"

"Boom-"

A loud sound came from the direction of the city wall. Emile and I swayed a few times and nearly fell down.

"Hey Emile!" I excitedly pointed in the direction of the city wall, "That way!"

One of the edges of that imposing, magnificent and ancient city wall made a rumbling sound, then slowly tilted and collapsed away from the wall -

"Eh! What's wrong!?"

That scrupulous guard immediately stood up from the bottom of the tree and tried to run that way, but he was pulled.

"Don't worry," the lazy guard shook his head, "leave the dangerous things to others, let's rest, I didn’t sleep well these days ......"

"But ...... but!?"

"Safe and sound, no problem, they can’t find us."

Emile gently took a few steps back and watched towards the walls.

I also tried to look, but the view was all obscured by the thick tree branches and leaves.

"Emile, can you see over there?"

"Well, a group of black-robed men, who are running, and a group of soldiers, who are also running, and the old man, who is also running."

"Give me a clearer picture."

"It's a group of people chasing a group of people. ...... Well ...... that old man began to chant, well, or that shameless multiplayer linkage magic, this time this is called the arrow of restraint? Anyway, it's not very good looking. The black-robed man was bounced off. That's amazing! You can use a sword to bounce off magic! I can only use my hands!"

"Give me the point."

"Uh ...... that, the black-robed man seems to have been injured in the waist, and then ......"

"And then...? ...?"

"The arrow ......"

"What happened?"

"Well ......"

she paused for a moment.

The next moment, I knew exactly what had happened.

The bounced magic arrow accompanied by raindrops fell from the sky and gently grazed the tree branch we were on.

"Woah woah woah!!!"

The guards' exclaims came from below.

"Ahhhh, it scared me ...... it was really close."

I patted my chest and sighed in relief.

"Click-"

The tree branch made a fragile sound.

"Clack clack clack clack clack--"

"Eh!?"

The tree branch finally became unbearable and broke apart from between Emile and Nalesha.

Emile and I fell straight down -

------ ---------- ------

"Ouch Ouch Ouch ...... Why there are falling scenes from the beginning to this world until now! Is this some kind of curse!?"

Well ......, it doesn't seem to hurt much.

Emile came down from behind me, tapped her toes on the "cushion" under me, and finally stepped on the ground.

"Hey, we're not suspicious characters," she said calmly to her "cushion" companion, "we're out for a walk."

"......"

The lazy guard froze for a moment, then swallowed.

"That ...... Anyway, come with us first ......"

--- ---------- ---------- -

Nalesha crouched on the remaining branch, looked at the two girls being taken away, clenched her fist, and thenleft.
