About the Beach Camping Two Years Later 16

It was pitch black outside, and I relied on the faint light of a flashlight to search for Jasmine Wen's box of sunscreen that had fallen on the beach. Whether it was because my vision was worse at night or because the flashlight's light was pitifully weak, I couldn't tell. After hearing ghost stories, I felt a chill down my spine. Combined with the occasional loud sound of waves crashing on the beach, and the rustling of tree branches in the nearby forest, I was scared to the point of trembling. I had a persistent fear that the flashlight's light would suddenly go out, trapping me in this terrifying atmosphere. I didn't want to spend the night alone on the beach.

Unable to bear it any longer, I focused all my attention on finding the sunscreen. As soon as I found it, I planned to quickly run back to the villa, without looking back. That's what I thought, but as I searched, sweating profusely, and the light of the flashlight flickered, I still couldn't find it, and the feeling of unease grew stronger.

"Where is it? Where is it?" I searched anxiously, not missing any corner of the beach with my eyes.

"Ah!!!" Suddenly, something tripped me, and I ended up face down in the sand. I struggled to stand up, annoyed at what had tripped me. Upon closer inspection, I saw the blue plastic box buried halfway in the sand. This was Jasmine Wen's box of sunscreen. I opened the box to make sure it was the right one. As for her beach chair and umbrella, I assumed they had been blown away by the merciless wind.

Fortunately, I found the box of sunscreen at last and could finally go back. I slung the box over my shoulder and ran towards the distant light coming from the villa. Without catching my breath, I made it to the villa's entrance. The box of sunscreen was quite heavy, and my shoulder hurt from the weight. I took it down from my shoulder and held it in one hand while using the other hand to push open the door.

But suddenly, something red caught my eye.

- What is that?

It was in the position of the living room, where a person was lying in a pool of blood.

- Who is that?

She had her back turned towards me, obstructed from full view. I couldn't recognize her immediately.

As I approached slowly...

"Yu... Yuqian?"

This girl with golden hair scattered around looked so much like Su Yuqian. I don't know why, but my hand started to tremble, and the plastic box slipped from my hand, making a dull sound as it fell to the ground.

To confirm who she was, I turned her body around.

That was the sight I least wanted to see, right there, fully exposed in front of me.

"Yuqian, hey... hey!"

Her clothes were stained with blood, especially her abdomen, which was a deep, dark color, as if someone had stabbed her.

I shook her body, called out to her, but she showed no response, her eyes tightly shut.

My subconscious told me she was already dead.

"Dead... dead... What happened?"

I staggered to my feet, suddenly remembering the others.

"Feiya... Feiya!"

I found Feiya lying on the ground in the hallway, her body covered in blood too.

"Feiya... Feiya..." I hugged her and called out.

"What happened? What has happened?"

I looked at the scene in front of me with shock. Feiya... Feiya was also dead...

My tears flowed uncontrollably, and my body kept shaking. Suddenly, a sentence someone said and that cold gaze flashed through my mind.

"I want all the girls who want to get close to Jerry to die."

Zhiye had said that, and... I had forgotten. It had been too long, and I had forgotten about Zhiye's terrifying actions. That time she imprisoned me, constantly talking about wanting all the opposite-sex people around me to die...

I could barely stand, but I still managed to prop myself against the wall and stand up.

- Zhiye, I won't forgive you... I won't forgive you for what you've done.

I walked with difficulty to Zhiye's room. Her door was slightly ajar, and I pushed it open, only to find her sitting on the floor, holding bloody tools in her hands.

She had obvious bloodstains on her body, and upon sensing my presence, she quickly put her hands behind her back and slowly stood up.

"Jerry... why did you come?"

She asked me with a faint smile,

"Why did you do such a thing, why!"

I roared angrily,

"I just... just because it's too painful... so..."

"So you killed Su Yuqian and Feiya, Zhizhe!"

"Kill Su Yuqian and Feiya? I... I didn't..."

"Why are you still trying to defend yourself!"

I rushed towards her and roughly pulled out the knife she had hidden on her back,

"Isn't this the murder weapon you used on them?!"

It was something I had seen countless times before, the thing that almost cost me my life,

"This... it's not... it's not like that..."

Zhizhe shook her head and denied,

"I won't forgive you... I absolutely won't forgive you,"

She said coldly while snatching the knife from her hand,

"It hurts... it hurts..."

Zhizhe suddenly groaned in pain, and I saw that she had cut shallow wounds on both of her wrists, blood was flowing out,

"Jerry... I didn't do such a thing... I really didn't..."

Zhizhe cried, and with a thud, the knife slipped from my hand and fell to the ground, my mind was in chaos,

Zhizhe... Did she just harm herself again? The scene from before flashed in front of my eyes, Zhizhe's hands covered in bandages,

"But even so... I can't believe that it wasn't you who killed Su Yuqian and Feiya,"

Just as I finished saying that, I heard some commotion outside, as if someone's footsteps, so I hurriedly rushed out.
