When I opened the curtain and the scene unfolded in front of my eyes, time seemed to stand still.
Cascia was not wearing a light blue dress, but rather a terribly awful maid outfit!
The fabric of this outfit was pitifully scant, showing off a large expanse of Cascia's snow-white belly and bare shoulders that were only as wide as a palm.
Because of the short hemline, this could hardly be called clothing. It couldn't even cover Cascia's faintly visible pink underwear.
"Daddy," my daughter's voice was full of grievances, "why is this outfit like this, sniff sniff."
"Well... Daddy doesn't seem to know either."
Tears shimmered in Cascia's eyes as she forcefully pressed down on the super short skirt.
"Daddy... don't stare at me like that."
My daughter desperately tried to cover herself, but in doing so, she ended up looking even more cute and awkward.
"Daddy is just giving a salute."
"Ah ah ah!!" The shop assistant quickly rushed over, "I mixed up the packaging of the clothes! That's for another customer! The formal wear is in here!!"
After stuffing the clothes into the bag, the shop assistant hastily closed the curtain.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" She bowed apologetically, "It was my mistake, I've troubled you!"
"Ah... it's okay." I snapped back to reality, "Cough, well, just pay more attention next time."
Oh dear, what an unexpected blessing. Once again, as a father, I witnessed a new chapter in my daughter's growth. This feeling of pride is truly heartfelt.
And not long after, my daughter, still teary-eyed, finally emerged in a sky blue lace dress.
"Oh, it fits nicely."
I had already had my eye on the color of this dress. It really matched well with Cascia's appearance.
The sky blue color, along with my daughter's long hair and flawless fair skin, created a perfect combination. And the knee-high white stockings outlined her firm thighs even more!
Even the shop assistant, who often chose clothes for customers, couldn't help but let out a soft exclamation.
"She... your daughter is so beautiful."
Ha, of course she is beautiful. Just take a look, whose daughter is she?
"Alright, I'll take this set too." I nodded, "Cascia, you can wear it directly... no no no, first take it off and let Daddy wash it for you at home before you wear it. Otherwise there will be bacteria."
At Gianda, I can't dress my Cascia too beautifully. If she attracts too much attention, it might cause trouble. These little dresses, I'll have her try them on at home for Daddy to see.
"Okay, I got it."
After hearing my words, Cascia obediently went inside to change back into her dowdy country girl clothes. Meanwhile, I went to the counter to check out.
"The price is one silver coin, please..."
Silently, I handed over two gleaming silver coins.
"Two silver coins..." The shop assistant hesitated for a moment, "Sir, only one coin is enough, you don't need two."
"Huh?" I was stunned for a moment, "One coin for one outfit, if it's two outfits, shouldn't it be two coins?"
"S-So, one coin is enough, right?"
"Huh??" I pushed the coins over again, "We just tried on two outfits, didn't we???"
"Oh, sir, you...""Thank you," I said, "this has been a pleasant shopping experience."
Hmm, I shouldn't let Cascia discover the other set of clothes, otherwise, my father's authority would probably be completely undermined. Well, there's not much left of it anyway.
However, as Cascia and I walked out of the store, we suddenly noticed a crowd gathering in the square.
In the midst of the crowd, there seemed to be a young man, surrounded by statues.
"Dad, what's happening over there?" my daughter asked curiously.
"I have no idea," I replied.
Actually, I had no interest in getting involved in these things. I despised crowded places like Gianda.
It was probably some famous person from Gianda who went out and got surrounded by the public.
Back when I was a Templar Knight, incidents like this used to happen frequently.
During that time, Dad was quite popular, you know. There were many, many ladies who made all sorts of suggestive comments to me. But I always firmly rejected them.
I even remember one time, in a state of blood frenzy, a nobleman confessed his love to me.
My beautiful lady, please marry me.
But I'm a man, why would I do that?
So, I punched him away.
Although I didn't want to join in the commotion, Cascia had a strong desire and wanted to get closer to the crowd.
"Dad, let's go see!" she exclaimed.
"But I don't want to," I protested.
However, before I could finish my sentence, my daughter had already pulled me there.
Oh well, I give up. Since my daughter wants to see, I'll accompany her.
But as we squeezed through the crowd, the blonde young man who was surrounded by people actually tapped on me, the statue of Abbott, and said these words.
"Abbott, such a little chicken." he said, "I could probably deal with him in three moves."
