Bexia waited in the inn for a day without seeing Ophelia's return. However, he wasn't angry, thinking that maybe something had delayed her, or maybe it was his own fault that caused the delay. He even felt like he had caused trouble for Ophelia.

Fortunately, he could stay in this inn for several days and wait here in peace. He believed that Ophelia would come back to find him.

Under the night sky, the capital city began its new night life. The magic lamps on the streets were dazzling, a sight that couldn't be seen in the village where Bexia originally came from. Although he wanted to go out and have a look, he remembered his promise to Ophelia and decided not to.

Bexia leaned on the windowsill and looked at the bustling street. Suddenly, he saw a large group of people in the uniforms of the kingdom's army entering the inn. Soon after, his door was knocked on.

"We are the Imperial Guard of the capital city, conducting a routine inspection!"

Bexia hesitated for a moment, but since he hadn't done anything illegal, he opened the door. A group of soldiers rushed in, followed by an officer who looked at Bexia and signaled to the other soldiers to search the room. At the same time, he questioned Bexia:

"Where are you from? And where are you coming from?"

"I am from the Asman Kingdom, from a place called Hunku Village."

Bexia truthfully answered the officer's questions, but he seemed skeptical and gave Bexia a meaningful glance.

"Do you have any identification or adventurer's proof?"

"Um... no!" Bexia shook his head. How could he have identification documents?

He was rescued by villagers, and he didn't know anything about his past. And as for adventurer's proof, how could an ordinary person like him have it?

"Do you have anything that can prove your identity?" The officer's look seemed to become more suspicious.

"Well... no." Bexia could feel that something was not right.

"Arrest him!"

The officer signaled the soldiers to grab Bexia, and with a serious expression, he accused him:

"The capital city has been unstable recently, and I suspect you are a spy sent by another country. Come with us for further investigation!"

"But..." Bexia was just about to explain himself when he was suddenly struck hard on the back of his head, causing him to immediately lose consciousness.

The prison was a major feature of the Asman Kingdom, perhaps also because of King Tutankhamun, the king of magic. Even this prison was equipped with numerous magic arrays, making it one of the most secure and well-insulated places on the entire continent.

When Bexia regained consciousness from his state of unconsciousness, he had no idea how much time had passed. At least he knew one thing - he had inexplicably ended up in prison. And in this seemingly strong and eerie prison, there was an old beggar who looked like a piece of bark, gazing blankly outside the iron bars.

"Haha, little friend, you're awake!"

The old beggar noticed that Bexia had woken up and spoke while laughing.

"Yeah... fellow inmate!" Bexia felt helpless now, not knowing what to say.

"Why were you arrested?" the old beggar asked.

"I just came to the capital city, with no identification. They said I was a spy and arrested me."

Bexia sighed and truthfully answered the old beggar's question.

"Hahaha, sounds like me. I fell asleep on the street, and they said I disturbed public order, so they brought me back here."

The old beggar laughed cheerfully, completely devoid of any realization that he was in a prison. Anyone would think he was just returning home.

"They even confiscated my bag and stick. There was only some junk in there, and I don't know why they bothered taking it away!" The old beggar pursed his lips, seemingly more annoyed at losing his torn bag and stick than being thrown into prison.

"You mentioned adventurers?" The old beggar's conversation became a bit excessive, as he couldn't seem to stop talking.

"No!" Bexia shook his head."I should become an adventurer in the future!"

"Well, work hard then!" The old beggar walked up and tapped his shoulder, continuing, "Based on my experience, they will let you go in a few days, but you won't get your things back. Those guys won't give them back to you."

"They always like to do that..."

Listening to the old beggar's words, it seemed that it wasn't his first time being caught and now he had gained some experience.

"Is that so?" Bexia thought of her agreement with Ophelia and worried if she knew about her situation. If she knew that she was caught and put in prison, she would probably be very disappointed!

"Stop sighing, just chat with me! It's so boring in here."

"But there's an advantage in here, and that is the meals. It's just two meals a day, no breakfast. If there was breakfast, it would be perfect!"

The prison looked just like the old beggar's home when he described it. Bexia didn't know how to evaluate it.

"Speaking of which, you have amazing bones..."

"Amazing bones?" Bexia had never heard such a compliment before.

"Yes! Your bones are amazing."

"Am I a genius or something?"

"Yes! I think you're a genius. How about becoming my disciple?"

The old beggar winked at Bexia, feeling like he was selling her. Bexia began to doubt if he was specifically a human trafficker.

"What can you teach me?"

Curious, Bexia asked. Could this old beggar actually be a hidden strong individual?

"Of course, it's about begging! That's my expertise. I've been studying it for decades. With your appearance, it's the easiest to gain the affection of those women. If you pretend to be pitiful, you'll definitely attract many people...!"

"I just realized something."

Bexia twitched her face and said expressionlessly, "I'm actually talking to a crazy person."

"Ah! I'm serious..."

Bexia ignored the old beggar, turned over and lay on the ground, glaring at him.

"I want to rest, leave me alone."

"Think about it, I understand the market for this profession very well!"

"Not interested, go find someone else!"

"Give it some thought! This profession has great prospects..."

Bexia took a deep breath, resisting the urge to hit him, then let out a word heavily,

"Go!"

Bexia didn't sleep for long when suddenly the prison door was violently opened. He opened his eyes in a daze, but before he could react, he was lifted by two people.

"Hey! What are you doing?"

Bexia shouted.

"Shut up! Don't talk!"
