A hot wind blew across the endless grasslands, but even in such an environment, it still brought a hint of coolness.

"Ophelia, why do you look completely unaffected by the heat?" Bexia stuck out his tongue, the scorching temperature making him restless.

"I regulate my body temperature using magic, so I'm not hot. After you learn the magic meditation technique at the academy, you can do the same as me!" Ophelia turned her head, her chestnut-colored long hair cascading beautifully. Although she was only wearing ordinary clothes, it couldn't conceal her beauty.

"Can I really learn magic?" Bexia still had some doubts, appearing unsure of himself.

"Although you're already past the age for optimal magic training, as long as you are willing to work hard, after graduating from the academy, you can choose to join the military. If you achieve meritorious service, you might even become a noble."

Ophelia stopped in her tracks, elegantly spinning on the spot.

"I don't want to become a noble..."

"Then do you want to become an adventurer?"

Ophelia asked with a smile.

"I don't know, I just feel like I've forgotten something very important? Something I must complete!" Bexia replied in frustration, those scenes constantly appearing in his mind.

Those images of scattered crystals were particularly profound to him, and he felt that those things were crucial and he needed to retrieve them.

"Don't worry, after we arrive at Asman Academy, sister can help you find your family."

Seeing Bexia's distressed expression, Ophelia couldn't help but feel sympathetic. She reached out and gently stroked his head to comfort him. She didn't know why, but she always felt close to Bexia. She used to have no interest in men, and hardly interacted with them.

Perhaps it was because Bexia had saved her, or maybe it was because Bexia was quite likeable in appearance. The combination of these factors made her care for him!

Of course, this affection wasn't a romantic one between a man and a woman, but rather the care of an older sister towards her younger brother.

"Thank you, Ophelia."

Bexia no longer brought up these topics. He believed that any difficulties would surely be resolved by the time they arrived. There was no use worrying about them now.

It had been about a month since the day he saved Ophelia. After a month of recuperation, Ophelia's injuries had mostly healed, and she needed to return to where she belonged.

As for why she brought Bexia along, part of it was to repay him for saving her life, and another part was because Sister Luxe had mentioned Bexia during their conversation. She wanted Ophelia to help him find his family. Combined with these reasons, Ophelia brought Bexia along and agreed to introduce him to Asman Royal Magic Academy to fulfill his desire to learn magic.

There were many countries on this continent, and the kingdom Bexia belonged to was one of the most powerful: Asman Kingdom.

It was a country with a long history, purportedly founded by the legendary mage Tutankhamun Asman, also known as the "King of Magic." Asman Royal Magic Academy was also established by this legendary figure, making it a renowned magic academy on the continent and a holy land for elementalists.

Once apprentices broke through to the lower ranks, they could choose their profession based on their talents. Generally, there were two types: warriors who primarily fought with blades and utilized other magic for support, known as the warrior class, such as swordsmen, knights, and rangers.

The other type required talents in elemental magic. They possessed a strong mental power to communicate with powerful elemental forces and magic, allowing them to unleash devastating magic or perform contract summonings. Examples included elementalists and summoners.

Both paths had their own merits, but due to the great destructive power and rarity of talent in mental power, the profession of elementalists was more popular. This also contributed to the prestigious status of Asman Royal Magic Academy.

It took Ophelia and Bexia nearly a week to travel from the village where Bexia originally resided to the imperial capital, Tutankhamun City in Asman. Of course, there was also a segment of the journey where they rode in a kind person's carriage, or else it would have taken them at least half a month to reach the imperial capital."Is that the King of Magic, Tutankhahmon?" Bexia looked up at the statue that stood over a hundred meters tall, depicting an old man with a long beard holding a staff.

"Of course, who else could have a statue erected in this city other than the founder of the Kingdom of Asman, especially when the city itself is named after him?" Ophelia gazed at the towering statue with admiration.

"So, where should we go next?" Bexia had never been anywhere other than his village, so entering the bustling capital city was overwhelming for him and he didn't know what to do.

"Let me find you a hotel first. Otherwise, we'll have nowhere to sleep when it gets dark. I don't want to sleep on the streets," Ophelia half-jokingly said.

"Listen to Ophelia, sister," Bexia had no other choice. He was unfamiliar with the place and could only rely on Ophelia.

Ophelia led Bexia to an ordinary hotel and settled him in for the night. However, they only rented a double room, which confused Bexia.

"Ophelia, you don't expect the two of us to sleep together, do you?"

"What are you thinking?" She playfully tapped Bexia's head and said with a touch of annoyance, "I have to report to the academy and arrange your enrollment. You better behave and not wander around."

"I won't leave this place," Bexia nodded earnestly.

"Rest for now. I'll come pick you up tomorrow after I return from the academy," Ophelia smiled and left the room. She went straight to the first floor of the hotel and took out a golden badge from her pocket, placing it on the counter. The innkeeper, who was busy with bookkeeping, casually glanced at Ophelia and was suddenly startled.

"Prin... Princess!"

"No need to salute. Take care of the person I just brought in," Ophelia said.

"Yes! I will take good care of him, Your Highness."

The innkeeper never expected the first princess of the kingdom to appear in his small hotel, let alone bring along a man. But as a shrewd businessman, he knew better than to say too much. The consequences would be beyond his ability to bear.

"Thank you," Ophelia nodded slightly. She was just worried about leaving Bexia alone here. After all, he was a child who had come from a different place. If it weren't for her, he might have spent his whole life wandering in that kind of place. She naturally felt concerned for his safety in this unfamiliar city.
