Act 99: World Tree, Parallel Dimension

In the end, they gave up on finding Tibby. They only had about half a day to prepare, and they also needed some rest. Plus, Tibby wouldn't be able to enter the World Tree. Most importantly... that guy seemed to have stolen the Elf King's clothes. It wouldn't be good if he appeared in front of the Elf King.

"I hope Tibby is alright..." Tiran murmured softly, tying her long hair into a clean and neat ponytail. She strapped two short swords to her back and used a belt to cross and secure them. Finally, she grabbed a curved knife, shining with enchanted light, a specialty of the Elven race.

Hmm, she looked a bit like an adventurer now. The princess lowered her head to inspect herself and nodded in satisfaction.

"Please consider my feelings..." Aya sighed behind her.

Apart from the few swords and knives that Tiran was equipped with, the dozens of swords and knives they bought were tied in two bundles and carried by Aya. Aya also had a backpack that was almost as tall as a person on her back.

Although the weight was nothing for a Golden Dragon, it felt really stupid to carry so many things around.

"I mean, we're here to fight, not to go on a vacation. Are you planning to camp with all these tents and ingredients?!" the little trembling dragon questioned.

"Well, isn't it fine? Coco said the scenery inside is pretty good, and we don't know how long it'll take for Angel to arrive. It would be troublesome if we had to wait for several days without any food," Tiran said naturally.

Standing in the center of a circular magic circle about thirty meters in diameter in the Moonlight Temple, Aya and Tiran chatted idly, waiting for the Elf King to activate the teleportation and send them into the World Tree.

The appointed time arrived, and the Elf King pushed open the door and entered, seeing Aya and Tiran already waiting. He nodded but had a strange expression, reminding Aya of the resentful look she made when she was persuaded by Tiran to swallow a whole "coffee fruit".

Who knows what kind of experiences His Majesty the Elf King went through...

"According to the will of the gods, I will fulfill my promise and send you into the World Tree. For convenience, I will directly open the passage specifically used by Elf Kings for trials. Once you enter from here, you will directly arrive at the extradimensional space in the crown of the World Tree. Under normal circumstances, hardly any participants will reach this position in the trial, so feel free to engage in combat."

Alamette still had an awkward expression and took out a thumb-sized emerald crystal and a leather scroll that looked quite old from his pocket and handed them to Tiran:

"After the battle, crush the gemstone to activate the teleportation to come out. This scroll is something the gods asked me to give to you. I'm not sure about its specific function. In addition, there are many powerful monsters in the extradimensional space, and the higher you go, the stronger they become. Even I had to be careful to avoid the top-level boss monsters during the trial, so it's better if you don't challenge them."

"Understood!" Tiran confidently bowed in a not-so-standard manner.

"There's one more thing." Aya felt like Elf King's expression became even more resentful, not sure if it was her illusion. "Tiran, Your Highness, please make sure to come back alive. Coco said she won't marry anyone if you die in there..."

"Huh... Huh, huh, huh?!" Tiran was stunned for a moment before reacting and making a surprised sound.

"I say, Miss, I'm getting more and more curious about what you two did that night, to make Coco so infatuated with you," Aya stared at her owner with wide eyes.

"Tch, maybe I should find a chance to let you experience it too?" Tiran glanced at Aya out of the corner of her eye and snorted.

"No, please spare me!" Aya couldn't accept the image of herself holding Tiran's arm and calling her "Miss Sister" in a sweet voice.

Even the Elf King couldn't bear it anymore. He covered his face with one hand, and a faint light emerged from the tip of his raised index finger as he quickly wrote rows of runes in the air, chanting a complicated spell, activating the teleportation array on the ground.

After the radiance gradually dissipated, the princess and the little trembling dragon in the center of the magic circle had disappeared without a trace.

...

This was Aya's second time using teleportation magic. The last time was when she entered Tiran's treasure space, but it was very brief and didn't leave much of an impression. However, this time, it felt as if time had been stretched very long. Strange noises filled her ears like interference from various radio waves, and her eardrums felt like they were under immense pressure, as if submerged deep under water. The surrounding space seemed to be stretched and distorted like a colloid.

I'm not sure how long it had been, maybe a few fractions of a second or tens of seconds, but the seemingly deep space around me suddenly came alive. Countless brilliant stars appeared in the endless darkness, rotating and flowing past my eyes, leaving trails of dazzling light that were mesmerizing.

Eventually, my senses returned to normal, and the chaos around me disappeared. The scenery in front of me became clear, and I found myself standing on solid ground.

"Wow...this really is an extradimensional space." I looked down and saw that the hard and smooth floor of the Moonlight Temple had transformed into a damp grassland with the fragrance of soil.

We were standing on a gentle hill, surrounded by vast green lawns. A small stream flowed slowly on the side of the hill, merging into a wide river ahead. On the other side of the river, there was a dense forest, with mountains and canyons in the distance.

"Wow...I can't believe there are places like this inside the World Tree. Is this what they call the Realm of the Gods?" Aya exclaimed in awe. Although she had heard about the wonders of the Realm of the Gods before, this was her first time seeing it with her own eyes.

"Even the sun and the sky are here..." Tiran looked up at the sky. Above the vast, deep blue canopy floated a few wisps of faint clouds. The sunlight was just right, bright but not dazzling.

It felt just like the outside world. For a moment, they even doubted if they were truly inside the World Tree or if Aramet had transported them to a distant place.

"It is indeed inside the World Tree. I can feel the suppression of the laws here, and Holy Rank rules cannot be used in this place." Tiran clenched her fist and tried to change the rules of this world, but she found herself powerless.

"The time is also incorrect." Aya pointed to her shadow on the ground. "It looks like it's one or two in the afternoon, but we entered in the evening."

After confirming that they were indeed in the extradimensional space within the World Tree, the two of them surveyed the surrounding terrain.

"I took a quick look just now, and I found a wooden bridge over there that leads to the other side. The river bay next to it is perfect for camping!" Tiran excitedly pulled Aya's hand and headed towards the riverbank.

"So, your 'terrain reconnaissance' was actually just looking for a camping spot?" Aya couldn't stand her master's mindset and couldn't help but sarcastically comment.

"Yes, why not?" Tiran nodded nonchalantly. Fighting with Angel was not the same as going to war. What was the point of scouting the terrain in this kind of battle?

"Never mind." Aya put the huge backpack on the pebble-filled shallow, then turned to look at the small wooden bridge they had just passed by. "Speaking of which, it's fine if there is an extradimensional space inside the World Tree, but what's the deal with that bridge? It's unlikely that the Elf God would have nothing better to do than to build a bridge, right?"

Moreover, the bridge appeared slightly worn and covered in slippery moss, not like something crafted by a divine being. At first glance, it was no different from the ordinary bridges built by villagers in a rural countryside.

"Or...it's hard to say?" Both of them covered their faces and speculated at the same time.

Ah, it's not that they were looking down on the divine beings, but the fact that a divine being who could create a chat software scroll and give such an answer didn't seem like a serious god. In addition, their experiences over the past few days had completely overturned their impressions of princesses and kings. It seemed normal to encounter a bizarre deity.

Although Aya had some opinions about the princess camping in the World Tree, since they had already brought all their things, it would be a waste not to make use of them.

The tent was a quick-build structure bought from the Magic Seed Shop inside Alda City. Once planted, it could grow into a small vine house. As for the contents of the backpack, most of it was barbecue equipment and various ingredients. Due to the Elven race's aversion to meat, they had to spend a lot of money at the human merchant's guild to buy the beef they originally ate on the road.

"To barbecue on Elven territory...just the thought is exciting." Aya sighed in admiration as she brushed oil onto the meat on the grill in front of her, silently salivating.

It was too touching. After several days of vegetarian meals, they finally had some meat to eat.

However, at that moment, a loud rumble came from a distance, and the ground suddenly shook. The piece of meat on the grill shook and fell off with a loud thud.

"...Oh dear."

"Don't worry about that piece of meat. Look over there... It's a heavenly battle! Now we can be sure that the Elf King didn't deceive us. There really are monsters here." Tiran looked in the direction of the tremors, and in the distance, beyond the large expanse of forests, two colossal beings roared at each other in confrontation.

The weather is good now, and the mountain range more than ten kilometers away is within sight. A rough estimate would suggest that both of those giants are at least a hundred meters in size.

"Wow... That's... the Lord of the Mountains and the Mist Tree Spirit?" Aya was momentarily stunned, but soon recognized the two figures.

There's no mistaking it; these are definitely ancient siege beasts. One of them is an advanced version of the mountain giant that Tiran slashed to death with his sword last time, while the other one is the dominant creature from the Mist Canyon in the southern part of the continent, known as the Mist Tree Spirit.

"You know them?"

"Yes, they're mentioned in my notebook. My parents told me not to provoke those creatures until my strength surpasses theirs." Aya nodded earnestly.

"Strength greater than your parents'? Don't you already have that now?" Tiran was taken aback. With a golden dragon's body, ninth-level magic and chi, he was almost invincible to ordinary human knights.

"I've never had it before." Aya looked embarrassed. "Now that I think about it, it seems that those two creatures are even stronger than you... They should be what you humans call 'Holy Rank.'"

"Hold on a second."

Tiran suddenly raised a hand with a blackened face, looking at Aya with a strange gaze. "Are you saying that your parents are both Holy Rank?"

"I think so... I've had that feeling of the rules changing when I fought them..." Aya replied.

Indeed, the golden giant dragon is one of the strongest creatures in the world, and even with Holy Rank strength, it's not surprising for an adult specimen... But wait!

"If your parents have Holy Rank strength, why did we come to the Elf tribe? Why didn't we just go and cling to your parents' legs?!"
